for question 54 I thought if a dependent clause comes after an independent clause no punctuation is needed. why would it be tunnel, enabling.
enabling...isn't a dependent clause. It isn't a clause at all. I think it's a participial phrase (don't quote me on that), but basically it's non restrictive (non-essential) information at the end of a sentence, so it's punctuated properly. Regardless, answer choices F, G, and H are grammatically incorrect. The part after the semi-colon in F and G is not an independent clause, and H is a comma splice. Process of elimination leaves you with only J as a plausible option.
