glad 2 see another one. It took me a year to restore mine. I put a honda big red front fork a cj5 roll bar led lights a winch and i still have the kawasaki 341ci motor. oh ya new paint and tires. it turns heads every where i go.
I have a Kawasaki Mule but we don't have a hydraulic lift on the back but that thing will go anywhere I like the Kubota engines on some of these other kind but I like the way you got that one that is really truly caught my attention cuz you had to do a wheels in the back like that that makes for a easy day getting something done get into places little different with that type of vehicle
Excellent! If your friend wasn't successful at diagnosing the engine I was going to suggest a Harbor Freight 420cc electric start engine. He is a good friend to have, and that Honda will probably run forever.
That’s a great little piece of equipment for the farm. Do a little sanding on the bottom and seal it with rust preventer and spray on bed liner and it’ll last forever.
i own one, the local zoo has 2 (oaklawn zoo, ns). they changed the rear breaks to a golf cart setof breaks.... dont bother with teh rear breaks they are crap. my carb is dirty.... researching it now atm.
My Gator AMT600 has a gearshift issue. Unable to shift in gear. All else works. It starts and runs in forward & backward gear. It starts in neutral but does not shift in gear, unless that I force it at very low revs, with the chance of stalling. But that is not healthy. Any idea would be appreciated?
John Deere green is 11 bucks a quart at tractor supply... Wire wheel that bed and get it some protection. Surface patina leads to rust and rust leads to scrap piles.
Hi, I was wondering if you could tell me the Honda engine model number. I have an ATM600 and the engine needs replaced and I was wondering what engine you put in there. Thanks.
Hi i'm the other guy in the video.I just watched this looking for some other stuff online. I installed that engine about 20 years ago, the original kawasaki was obsolete even back then. It was a used Honda 8hp, I don't remember the model number but it was just a standard straight shaft Honda. I used the Honda fuel tank so you just take off the seat to fill it up, modified the intake and exhaust, loosened the throttle tension nut and added a return spring so it returns to idle. the stock drive clutch fit right with no modification, and the plastic engine cover still fit. I know this is an old post but hopefully this is helpful. God bless!
Think how much that will save your back. Who cares what it looks like. Saving your energy will give you more strength to do stuff around the farm and with the family. I'm tired of life in the city. I am selling my rental properties so I can buy at least 20 acres with woods so I can have a home, woodburner to heat and a well. City water bills are outrageous. You got a good john deere there. I bought a john deere mower for $300. The guy bought a new one and didn't want to store it. I looked it up and used it goes for $900. Craigslist is bargains galore.
Any chance you could toss us some dimension for that hydraulic cylinder for those of us wishing to refit a non power lift unit to a powered one via a linear actuator.
I may be recalling incorrectly, but I belive there was a set of rubber tracks that could be looped over the rear drive wheels for greater mobility. I remember thinking it was a modern take on the German Kettlerad.
the honda engine will last "almost forever " my honda big red ran for a long time before it had to be worked on. looks like a little rust converter and paint and she will be good to go !!!!
@@LongNguyen-ds4hf from the video looks like a 8-12 hp stand alone engine but have to look it up someplace, but probably most any horizontal shaft engine would work as long as it physically fit
Electric start?! You're living large! Love it!
Wow love to see old stuff come back to life ready to see it in action
... And no payments ... Love it
Made useful again great job

40 years old and you got it working!
That dump feature is everything on the farm!
Really amazing 👍 guys

What a good friend! Great job!
Love this! What a handy machine. Glad you got it working better now.
That rig will save you alot of walking! Cool find.
There was a gremlin in my mic for some reason here.......

That things sweet, great find
I love that old John Deere, what a versatile piece of equipment. I can't wait to see you use it.
Jimmy
Let’s see it in action!

What a great ride
AWESOME 👍👍😊

just bought one. Runs great. Hydraulic ram missing. Does anyone know the length?
nice! i just bought one for $1000 locally but has no dump
Rocking the 101wrif sticker!
how do you remove the seat to work on the engine?
If it makes you smile then welcome home. I do believe over time some metal might need a road sign repair but doable
NOW do your job & clean it up & paint it. Your smile on your face was like a kid at Christmas!!!! Your friend is one of a kind so get it cleaned up.
The switch for the bed lift should be relocated before someone loses a finger.
Wire brush and a couple cans of spray paint and good to go.
Got my gears turning about a old mower I have that's just taking up space... hmmm thanks for the ideas lol.
Love the WRIF (Baby!) sticker, lol. A little Detroit nostalgia.
Lol, I wonder how long that sticker has been there....

Those Honda small engines are almost bullet proof.
Do you happen to know what engine model that is?

Ever want to sell it I would be interested! That is really cool...
Anyone know what model honda engine that is need to engine swap the same john deere didn't want to undersized the engine

Anyone know how to get the seat off. Need to get the side panel off first. They didn't show that in this video...already had those off.
Cool

Tracks yield greater floatation and traction but not mobility
Fuel most of the time , i always put some in the pot then try, if it fires then its fuel supply
Do you still have this?
A little jealous. Wish I could find something like that for our little property.
mine has the original motor....... sat in a garage for decades
Hopefully everyone is up to date on their Tetanus shots.
I hate rust. Get a wire brush and get as much as you can off. Then spray it with rust converter.
Everybody is saying to paint it.
I disagree if it's all shiny and new looking you'll be afraid to scratch it.
Lol
It's perfect as it is,,,,
Usable!
JEALOUS!!! :- ) Quick coat of wax and yer ready to go!! Thanks!
There *were* 600 'likes' on this video on your AMT 600.
Sorry, I made it 601
Sooooo, no more pink 4-wheeler needed to collect hay-bales?????
:-(

It may be nice to have new but you can't scratch that old girl.
