- Another Hewlet Packard did I ever say i kind of love this brand..
a super nice powersupply 0-6A 2.5A and 2 x 0-20V 0.5A trackable, with a bit funny variable tracking feature. self oscillations pulse on +20V output after load drop, only mine do this ? my unit ? or design error ?
NEWS : See the follow up video for more information. Design error found and solved.

I use auto generated subs, I go thru them my self, but i am far from perfect at finding all errors, so if you find errors worth fixing, please comment (or PM) with the TIME in the video you saw the error, i will be happy to fix it. This also apply to the Danish version.

(Thanks to all my Sponsors / Traders / Swappers / Sellers / Buyers, without your support and constant flow of cool items in/out, none of this would be possible)
Thanks for your T&T videos! 2 things - serial very often is YYWW on HP starting in 1960 - 3642 would be 96 week 42 - I have 3 of this model, the plugs are notorious !! for having the screw-post-thread on the banana plugs crack, so this is likely why they were changed
thanks kim for the serial info, please try the load drop test on yours ? see if same osc issue ? tomorrow i release a solution video, i am sure my solution will also work on yours
That or it was owned by some overzealous school where a safety idiot has determined that ALL banana jacks on every piece of equipment have to be the shrouded kind .... ask me how I know ;)
@@Sine1040 I think that is very much true :-) how ever i kind of like the original more slim banana types more, but they are fragile like kim say
Some older Ensoniq keyboards like the Mirage and ESQ-1 used asymmetric supplies for their analog side circuitry. Still something you can use a true dual-output supply with but that's at least one use case for testing.
Hey man, just wanted to say I really appreciate how your filming has improved. Nice and stable now, no more motion sickness for me. Love the content. Thanks so much.
thanks a lot, it is the same cam, but i try much harder to hold it steady, its anti shake keeps going off, due to too close,
I also appriciate comments of any kind.
I think especially in the opening part of the video you had it on a stand.
I'm extra interested in this one as I want to roll my own (low voltage) supply.
Fantastic content, presentation and filming! I'm really loving it! I'm slowly going backwards since I discovered your channel not too long ago. Keep up the good work ❤
@@TeardownOZ2CPU'funnily' I miss your personal picture in picture intro haha
@@jb5631 ups i forgot it :-) ha ha
Wow this is an amazing video
Lovely little power supply, very compact for a linear bench psu, though shame it doesn't have variable current limiting. Does the phase control pre-regulator use SCRs? Those designs can cause a lot of RF to be generated.
Hi Thomas, I send you the Schematics at your Email, in case you dont have it along with some Service Bulletins that eventually address the Oscillating issue.
Cheers, Konstantin
what thanks a lot, I am happy to hear they figured out about this terrible design mistake, I like to see how far my solution is from theirs :-)
my email adr is my call sign at gmail so it should be easy to get, this way we can share files.
Hi Thomas, I just send you the Files at your correct Mail, I made a Typo before when I send those, Cheers, Konstantin
@@KonstantinGrigoriadis thanks a lot for the files, for anyone to enjoy please goto siliconvalleygarage dot com
fantastic page about this power supply, also contain their mods for several bugs
