Wow what memories! I appeared as 'Robert' in Durban alongside the inimitable Caroline Smart whose career in Durban continues professionally and others. 1970. The Premier included an in flight meal for the audience. I still recall corpsing one evening when telling of what I kept in my overnight bag, front of stage which we used more than this and other productions, giving great 'oneness' and intimacy with the audience. The two of us started smirking when she said 'what do you need a spare of socks for?' The audience laughed more than usual and the more they laughed the more we did. It seemed to go on for ever, even when I said '...let's be serious!" I couldn't keep a straight face. Dated,it is of course,but still fun!
That's amazing! We had a great time with this show too. We did Don't Dress For Dinner two years earlier and just had to do this show too. Thanks for sharing!
