It doesn't matter how well they play because you need to roll 4 lines, have at least 3 solid Dmen and a goalie on a big run to win a cup. Literally the hardest championship trophy to win in all of professional sports. 4 players, 1 D and 2 half goalies will NEVER be the formula for any team to win a cup.
