I’m just a girl in Australia and fixed my fridge from this video. i was scared to open up the back panel but yanked it hard as per your instructions. I took photos along the way. thanks so much you have saved me $ and also a trip to the tip.
Just fantastic thank you! I had water leaking from the fridge for a very, very long time, recently from the light fitting too. The explanations of the reasons, the time saving tips, then the step by step on the panel was just great. I ended up using a tube on the vacuum cleaner to get the gunk out of the top, it grabbed the ice too. thanks so much.
Many thanks for the video, you have saved me a service call. I couldn't get the back panel off in the freezer but I could see that a few frozen peas had escaped the package and were blocking the drain hole. So once the fridge and peas had thawed, with a bit of poking with a plastic coated wire I got them down the hole and collected them inside the main compartment with the back panel off and the drain pipe exposed. Gotta love RUclips.
Exact same fridge, exact same problem. A bit of plastic caught at top of the drain. Glad I found this as I was ripping the fridge apart trying to get to the drain as I have had this problem on a different fridge so knew what is was trying to do but could get to it. Just need a bit of persuasion. Cheers.
thanks, I've been trying to work this out for a year or so now. I found a description of the proprietary lever used to undo the panels, but never got around to finding one or making one to try. this is perfect thankyou again.
Thanks Mark, great vid with clear instructions. Helped me fix my fridge and gave me the know-how to get that back panel off with relative ease using your method.
Excellent video mate However the water coming out of my fridge is coming from inside the fridge compartment roof. It looks to be the same model as yours and I have checked the drain from the freezer and all is good but the roof panel does not want to drain into the main drain below the freezer . But I can not for the life of me get the roof panel out. Did you manage to remove yours?
@@myshortcuts15 I had the same problem. Fix is the same as the video, once completed, tilt the fridge backwards and the remaining water will drain through the cleared drain hole
@@Marksreviewsandtutorials Thanks but this clip shows how to remove the fridge door, I need the pull out freezer door removed, the freezer is on the bottom
Hi Mark, what fisher and paykel model is this fridge freezer? Think i may have the same but the water dispenser at the front of mine is leaking and i want to disconnect it. Thanks
Thank you Mark. I have struggled with my fridge and I look forward to trying this method of removing the back panel in the morning as another method I saw on RUclips didn't work for me.. glad I am across this one after an hour or two searching and attempting it on my fridge... I will return and edit depending on outcome..

Brilliant. This trick has worked for our Fisher & Paykel fridge freezer leak twice now. That back panel took two of us to remove. Thanks so much Mark.
