    Okay, I subscribed. I hope it will be interesting to look at Russia through the eyes of a Brit, and at the same time it will be useful to listen to a non-American accent. For some reason, I suddenly remembered a quote from a famous Soviet comedy: "- Well, if you come to our place on Kolyma, you'll be welcome... - No way! You'd better come to us!" 😂😂😂 Greetings from Krasnoyarsk!✌😉

    Мне нравится, что мы не улыбаемся всем. Это как быть честным перед самим собой и перед другими. Если видишь улыбающегося человека - значит у него случилось приятное событие, просто хорошее настроение, либо он странный.

    Putin and Biden go fishing and catch a gold fish.
    Fish: I will grant you an answer to one question each.
    Biden: Who will win the WW3?
    Fish: Sorry mate, cant say, because it may disrupt the timeline.
    Putin: What will be the price of Coca Cola after the war?
    Fish: 10 rubles.

      @@aleczandergordon1298 Well first, try to read it again, its a nice joke, i dont like to spoil it by explaining, but here it is...
      The fish doesnt want to say who will win the WW3 and then says the price for Coca Cola (American brand) after the WW3 in Russian currency, meaning Russia will win the WW3. Now read again and you will understand the joke.

    Hi! Nice walk and a story! But what I don't understand is why convert income in Russia into dollars at an exchange rate that does not reflect purchasing power? Use purchasing power parity (PPP), although even this underestimates the actual disposable income. And the "exchange rate" only disorients Americans, in my opinion: after all, it is very difficult to live on "$ 800" in the United States, unlike in Russia.

    That's the thing with Russians, bro. You have to know a person to earn a smile. They won't smile back at you "just 'cause", they will smile when they really feel like it, not when it's expected of a person to fake it.

  • @lidialnn
    @lidialnn 2 месяца назад +4

    You might probably already have understood that Russians have some thing on sincerity . They do things ( smiling included) wheh they mean it. 😊 they believe fhaf fake smiling is a kind of hypocritical. That is mentality tbi ng , abd it goes to older generations too, since their life was not that easy in fact. ❤ i hope you still love being abd living here. What is the time you have spent in Russia?

      You are completely right and I do understand that as I have been here for a few years.
      I wanted to make a point of it as I thought a lot of foreigners would think it’s rude, although it’s certainly an improvement on the over faked smiles that you sometimes come across in the UK or US.

    • @lidialnn
      @lidialnn 2 месяца назад

      @@EnglishVillage_in_Russia I know it is taken like rude but it is never the case with Russians 😊 life taught them to be suspicious a bit to open arms and smile to a stranger. That is how we work here. But again it is more about older people. I always smile a lot for example. 😀 and I mean it too. 😀 I wish you a great start with your channel ❤️🤛 share as much as you want .
