I have a few of these. I don't bother zeroing out the position adjustment as 9 times out of 10, you need to adjust it anyway. If you move the dot on your gap sensor to the smallest point between the labels, your adjustments will be smaller :) They are fantastic printers though and very well built.
I have a c4000. I find setting it up fairly straightforward and it's pretty accurate. My main problem is the ink cost. In the UK the cartridges cost about £25 each (US$31.50) and are only 50ml. I have a converted eco tank that runs on pigment ink and prints from rolls and it's ink is about 10% of the cost of Epson's cartridges. I'm thinking of selling my c4000 just cos it's costing me about £400 a month in ink

Are you powering off the printer at the end of the day? Or is it like a wide format printer where it needs to stay on 24/7?
