So he connected with him on a deeper level due to his dad being blind. I saw what my friend had to go through. To see a person for who could see for 17 years lose her eyes sight to a drunk driver while walking to school was soul crushingly painful. A person who was this strong willed person spiral into depression because she felt like her dignity was stripped from her.
