remember that hairpin Ayaka gave Aether in her story quest? a story quest so canon that Mihoyo forbid you from continuing on the story until you complete? In chinese culture, gifting a hairpin is like an engagement gesture. the woman give the man the hairpin and the man hold onto it until after the wedding where he would return it by putting it in her hair.
and Ayaka didn't give Aether any old hairpin, she commissioned a white heron hairpin; her own symbol. she basically marked aether for marriage.

but the dev ARE chinese and they know their culture. the hairpin might be just a way for the dev to plant an obscure teaser for the fan. Obviously they can't be confirming ship in a gacha waifu game like this, that's simply bad for business.

I find most of these mmd+overdub as just fun memes, but this one is on a whole nother domain. Even the VA of the overdub is the same person damn. I was like "daaaaamn" the whole time. I wanna see a movie of this, or atleast a mini series of sorts.
I'm so madly in love with ayaka after watching her trailer. I don't see myself as the mc but I'm rooting for them even more after finishing her story quest. The hint is so damn big yet there's people denying it but still ship people that have no interaction whatsoever like lisa & venti.
Honestly I don't know why people are denying that Ayaka likes Aether. She literally and quite clearly does. The hints are all throughout her story quest and it's obvious. Some of her lines when you gain companionship exp for her literally show she has something for him. Not to mention her lines in the Serenitea Pot. Like, all the "hints" are right there in front of our eyes.

You’d almost think Keqing should have an advantage because of her understanding of Traveler the most and Ayaka being so new to this sort of thing.
She’s handicapped because she’s so dedicated to her work and almost feels like she doesn’t give herself time to think about this stuff, instead just working to make her dreams a reality. Respectable, but Ayaka’s already leveled the playing field with her time and actions and has a clear resolve and only has her clan slowing her down but that’s just it; she’s still moving towards Traveler instead of shutting out entirely like Keqing.
Everything about this feels so canon especially 1:04. Ayaka is already ahead of her and she almost seems oblivious to that fact. Her greatest competition is right in front of her and she still doesn’t even know is she’s in the fight to begin with, needing her rival to remind her that time isn’t her friend and there’s other girls who won’t wait for the one who was a clear favorite.
