I have done some broken time attacks in my fencing. I like the strategy a lot... until I get called 'attack in prep'.

Broken time has its limitations and "attack in prep" is certainly one of them. Very much a situational phrase best employed when you know your opponent favours searching for your blade rather than looking for a window in your preparation.

@@osmfencing That's true. I've recently learned and drilled several new actions for my fencing, including this broken time attack. I have lots of options when fencing but I need to get better at knowing what action is appropriate and how to time them. My broken time attack is great when my opponent falls for it and makes a parry. If they make a counter attack however, I lose the point.
