Yeah, the O Line is terrible as usual (to be fair, usually they're good in run blocking, but we also had Fields who boosted our run stats) but Caleb is also missing passes that he shouldn't miss when he has time to throw. And not just missing them... He's over throwing his targets by 10+ yards. I keep having to tell myself "Josh Allen sucked until year 3 and Peyton Manning sucked his rookie year" lol. And the decision to hire Shane Waldron, who Seahawks fans were glad to see leave, instead of hiring Kubiak, who Caleb absolutely loves and can run his system on day 1, is starting to look like a horrible decision. Especially after seeing how good Kubiak has the Saints offense playing right now, an offense that was bottom 10 in most categories last year. Hopefully things change, but man... And to be fair, it did take the Bears offense until week 4 of last year to finally click after being horrible the first few weeks.
Omg sports media wants the bears to be good so bad 😂 hyping up Caleb as a top 10 qb before the season started, the best situation a rookie qb could go into, the offense was going to be unstoppable, blah blah blah not they get every excuse 😂

If you watched the game, you would have seen O Lineman Broderick Jones get called for penalties on 3 straight plays, which were plays were the Steelers offense was picking up huge chunks of yardage. He immediately got benched. Then Pickens got a BS pass interference call on him which negated a 40 yard dot from Fields. Again, actually watch the games. I've been impressed with Caleb, the kid has an amazing skill set ! The play calling for Caleb is like he's a veteran QB so I think the Bears need to dial it back a bit for about a month ! This past Sunday's game he looked frustrated and exhausted because he was taking a beating .. the only concern is his mental toughness because based on his facial expression against the Texans he looked like he's not up for too many more games of taking a beating like that ... If they don't mess him up he's gonna be phenomenal !
Our rbs are averaging 1.6 yards PER CARRY for 2 full games! Entirely the offensive line who deserve majority of blame! Caleb can get the ball out fast buts ridiculous to expect him to carry the offensive load by himself without a run game or pass orotection
The running game last year was only looked at as so much better bc having someone like Justin Fields makes it way easier on rbs bc there are defensive packages you can’t run on a qb like him
When I hear ppl talk about the bears it makes me think they aren’t watching the games. I’m not saying the bears oline are top notch but do they know Caleb is currently one of the worst out of all qbs when it comes to getting the ball out of his hand. He’s at 2.5 seconds, not only is he holding the ball for way too long, he also has a thing where he drops back about 7 yards on like every single play he also doesn’t have a good ball fake when it comes to passing the ball off to the rb.i honestly could keep going lol
I remember Tevin Jenkins saying he was going to be a physical beast after he was drafted. A couple of seasons in, I still haven’t seen it and he gets ragdolled on Sunday night. It makes me wonder when he and the rest of the interior OL will do their job.
I mean, Caleb Williams been doing that since USC, Offensive line getting destroyed and he starts moving out of the pocket to make bad throws or great throws.
Only thing he doesnt get is NFL Defenses close in on targets way faster than they do in College. He is trying the tricks he used in College. Its not working.
@@bryanmahoney3434 Exactly, yeah. Same thing is happening to Bryce Young. His whole thing was extending the play outside the pocket, but the athleticism and scheme difference in the NFL is so vastly different that it takes even greater type of athlete at QB to do those things while in the NFL. Like Kyler, Lamar, Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen. Time will tell if Caleb is capable of replicating that success he had in college, or if he'll be another Bryce Young.
He's absolutely better than Justin Fields. Are you kidding me? Justin threw for 117 yards on Sunday. Absolute dogshit player that isn't good enough for the NFL. Pittsburgh has a far better oline and far better team. That's how they win. Fields does nothing to help them. He wont start next year.
The best comparison is look at Matt Stafford when he first came in. He was a transcendent #1 pick with all the arm talent in the world, but 3 years in a row he was the most sacked QB in the league and they could barely win games. Once they fixed the O-line the team started winning.
Mahomes lead the chiefs to the SUPERBOWL in 2021 against the BUCS with 2nd & 3rd string OLinemen. Mahomes entire starting Oline got injured that season. If Caleb was this “GENERATIONAL” talent then he should at least do something. Remember he was drafted into the best position for ANY QB coming out of the draft.
Mahomes had a top 5 O-Line till the playoffs and even with HOF weapons in Tyreek and Travis he got smacked because his O-Line couldn’t withstand that bucs pass rush with lead to your boy getting smacked 31-9
I agree, his situation is ideal, but give him time. It's his rookie season. No matter how ideal of a situation, no matter what Bears fan said about him being the next CJ Stroud, it doesn't matter. Give him the year. If he sucks this year, and the beginning of next year, like Bryce Young, then we can talk about him being a bust. Anything before is woefully premature.

I'd say coaching is failing Caleb more than anything, but let'stop and think for a minute. Unless this season goes drastically wrong, I'm against them changing anything fundamental with the staff. Just allow Caleb to get his rookie year under his belt and if he shows flashes, keep the same offensive staff, and allow him to gain even more experience in that system. If you start firing coaches and OCs every year, it's just going to stunt Caleb's growth.
Believing Waldron and Eberflus is giving Caleb a positive rookie experience is delusional. Nothing about this coaching will create a positive outcome for Caleb. We've already seen this with Eberflus and Getsy doing this with Fields.
So you like that we hired Waldron over Kubiak after seeing what Kubiak is doing with the Saints? The Bears are loaded! I don’t want to hear nothing about them failing Williams. Going to say what they tried to say about Fields. He’s holding the ball too long and not hitting the passes. The Bears would have been next level had they kept Fields and drafted Harrison.
All of sudden they realized the Bears needed an offensive line????!!!! I've been saying this the last 4 years with Fields, it wasn't Fields it was the offensive line and no receiver help whatsoever Poles didn't care that Fields got sacked 150 times during his tenure Here cuz it wasn't his Quarterback pick period, and now with Caleb who's smaller less athletic is going to get killed with no offensive help. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 way to go Poles you guru 👏🏼 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 you suck! The Bears made all these pickups and got Caleb, and it was going to be a playoff team for sure that is what the experts said. They just need better management. Well, Fields is gone. Who will they blame now?
The front office is to blame for not giving caleb an o line. it's terrible
The Bears saw what happened last year and decided what they needed in the first round of the draft was a wide receiver.... that front office should be charged criminally for what they do to their fan base

Because Joe Burrows will be a first ballot HOF Quarterback. Caleb won't be HUGE DIFFERENCE!
Great point.
Joe Burrow understands how to slide protection and gets the ball out quickly , Caleb is steps behind understanding Pass pro and processing

I never understood the Fields hate, the oline has always been garbage
I thought he was single handedly gonna win a superbowl? No? Oh, shocking.
Hey EVERYBODY: Defend the Bears screen pass and you win. It’s THE ONLY thing they do. Screen pass for negative yards. Rinse and repeat. Handoff for negative yards. False start! Delay of game! It was the same when Fields was there. They can hardly run a play.
Caleb will be fine. Just take him shopping, buy him a few dresses, a few nice blouses, go take him to get his nails done (team colors of course) maybe a quick makeover and he will be right as rain.
😂😂😂😂😂😂 💅💯💯💯💅
And to be fair, it did take the Bears offense until week 4 of last year to finally click after being horrible the first few weeks.
stop making excuses for Caleb, he's overrated! his throws are horrible.

Bears have been drafting and picking Tackles, Tackles, and Tackles and then shuffling them around to guard spots instead of just getting guys who play the position.
I am very disappointed with the velocity of his throws. He’s supposedly generational but there no heat on his throws
It’s all media hype cause CW is 🌈
I really wish they stop saying these QB are a "generational" prospect 😂... They used that with recently with Trevor Lawrence and as he's shown he's not living up to that hype lol.
His downfield throws have been way off the mark
he's rushing throws because of the garbage o line
But… but all the Bears fans have been telling me all off season how Caleb Williams is in the best possible situation for a #1 overall QB… he’s a generational talent… he’s a shoe in for ROTY and 5 MVPs and 4 Super Bowls… best WR group in the league…. I mean it’s not like the Bears fans are completely delusional and smelling themselves before they accomplished anything, right? It’s not like the Bears are an incompetent mess of an organization that doesn’t know how to draft or construct a team, right?

Stats don’t mean 💩. The passing stat leaders this year aren’t winning either. The top 5 passing yard leaders wish they were 2-0 right now. Fields is doing what it takes to win
That was over 100 yards of offense on 2 separate drives negated due to dumb penalties. Context does matter, my guy.

Caleb is failing the bears

Their o line cheats and holds every single play tho, so it evens out 👍 mahomes had 150 yards and 2 ints this week btw worse game than williams
