I was at this game yesterday. I was around a pretty mixed area of Jets and Titans fans. When that fumble happened, there wasn’t any cheers or boos. We all were pretty confused by what we witnessed 😂
He was the last good quarterback in that draft so people tried to hype them up to make him better than he really was. He was mediocre at Kentucky. It’s just Kentucky so people freak out.
This was probably my favorite segment in ESPN history. So much more in depth than I would expect. Greenberg did a great job of asking questions when the verbiage got a little too vague. Thanks for doing this.

I have a feeling it's a comfortability issue; losing Vrabel and knowing he's ultimately not going to be Callahans guy makes Levis feel like he needs to pressure himself which has lead to these mistakes. This one was pretty flagrant, but we have always seen a lot of would-be hero plays by QBs new to the league that go bad. Maybe weird "passes" like this one; but more often just thinking they can scramble away from trouble. They gotta learn to take the sack sooner rather than later. They're in the NFL now, and defenders are bigger, stronger, much faster, and better coached in a whole system of coverage.
I think the thing that drives me the most crazy about that play by Levis is the zero understanding of risk/reward. Let's say Levis actually pulled that play off and laterals it to his back. In all likelihood, he's going to get lit up behind the line for a loss or no gain. He's risking an easy turnover for his back to end up basically where he would've gotten sacked. Say what you will about Farve, his turnovers where mind boggling. But at least when he threw an awful pick, it was because he was trying to force it in for a TD or massive gain.
