I'm a little confused on how this works. I have the Mobility print installed on my windows pc at my house and published my canon network printer to the cloud. I gave the link to my mother and she installed the Mobility Print Client for Windows on her PC at her house. It fetched my canon printer into her "printers" section of her PC at her house. When she tries to print to the printer at my house, she gets an error stating "unable to reach print server". Am I missing the point of this? Is this software not meant to allow printing over the internet???
With mobility print, do you still need a local printer or the printer will talk directly to the cloud? I'm after a one-to-one replacement for google cloud print. For this, I would like to be able to print from anywhere with ONLY the printer on the remote network, no other computers or servers. Please let me know if this is possible with Mobility Print.
@@wf2917 Thank you, that would be great. I was looking at one point o see if I could get into my printer and see what type of OS is running. But finding access headers would require dismantling the printer. My thought was to try to install the Paper Cut server on the printer as I assume the Google Cloud Print server was done at the factory. If anything comes of this thought I'll too post it here.
@@KasLewis I believe this won't be a good solution for us. From their website: "The Mobility Print server needs to be installed (and switched on and running the Mobility Print service) on a machine that’s always on, and always connected to your network." I will look for a cost effective workaround and let you know if I find anything
As I suspected, this is not a replacement for Google cloud print. With Google I could print to a remote printer, not a printer connected to a remote network with a PC running.

Were you able to figure out a solution? In the same situation as you.
@@wf2917 I have not. Paper Cut has not been able to answer my question either in a meaningful way.
@@KasLewis Thanks for the response. I am aiming to solve this in the next few weeks, so when (if) I figure out a solution I will let you know here!
