One day, while I was asleep, there was a good angel in my dream and she was singing this song ... just like in the clip, she wore whites. Whatever happened, I woke up and realized that this song was open on MTV. I guess my mother couldn't stop to wake me up and decided to play a music on the TV. I still cannot forget the beautiful feelings this song has for me.
This is by far the best eurovision song ever. And I'm not saying this because I am a norwegian. But this is just so...magical. Just as a song alone, but also the fact that it is from a time where the songs were supposed to portray the country it represented somehow too. Which they have in both the style of song (Norway being a country of mysteries and fairytales and deep forests) but also the choice of instruments. Still gives me goose bumps after all these years. And it still moves me. A masterpiece indeed. ♡
Personally, I try to disassociate this sublime work of brilliance with the political debacle that hides behind the guise of Eurovision... But glad it was able to expose this amazing duo to the rest of Europe. Marvellous Music, Wonderful Words, Superbly sung 👍👍👍
Magic magic.Brings back memories of when myself and a friend were visiting in Dublin. We were having dinner in a very quaint little restaurant. This music started to play. I was blown away by this beautiful music and it's old world feel.Cant explain. I ordered this CD when I got back home.Still have it.Never ever get tired of it.Very special memories also it brings back.
I can say this as someone who is not part of the Euro and after listening to all of the winner of Eurovision till now. Nocturne definitely is on another level. The melody is so enchanting. It's somehow telling. Our Soul.. Loneliness. Sadness. and Longing. An Everlasting Win. And of course number 2 for Everlasting Win goes to The Voice by Eimiear Quinn
That’s very subjective tbh. Making Your Mind Up by Bucks Fizz, Ein bißchen Frieden by Nicole and others are also great. Also, don’t forget the classic L'amour est bleu, which didn’t win.

And my favorite one is the one with the clouds thumbnail uploaded 12 years ago. I know they made a new modernized version of it recently, but it's got NONE of the magic that these older ones do. Which is representative of most new music these days I think.

This master piece always brings me back to when i am still a young boy 5 to 9 yrs old. Love to here this back in those days early in the morning. And it feels more lonely now bcse i am living alone. But i still love it. More emotions to this song . Tears of happiness that i am still alive and well.
