Damn i just bought one and just realized with this video that the dsp dosnt apply to any stereo channels at all… what a bummer. The only thing i was ever going to use is the line in and headphone out

I'm still fuming at PreSonus for ignoring bugs in the io24 for over 6 months - only affects those of us who use 2 mics though, so who cares right?

    io24 owner here
i also have the Presonus Audiobox 22 VSL which has DSP available on ALL channels on the mixer, I wish we didn't have to take two steps back to take one step forward.

Great video.. To be honest , I really like the idea of the Revelator Series .But I'm really apprehensive due to QC issues . Being not resident in the US could be a pain as far as returns nd exchanges go. Do you think I should just wait to see if things "settle"

So is it correct, that EQ / Compression run on the device and not the host machine? I ask because I am searching for an usb audio interface to use with my iPad and Dynamic mic. The iPad can not run audio processing when routing i.e. to zoom teams etc. If you have some alternatives would be great to know! Very hard to figure out what has stand alone EQs and what not.

hi yes all the processing is done on the device but the software to configure is only available on Mac or pc. so you would configure it on there save to one of the two presets and then you can use your comped etc plugged into your iPad.

@@thefullsetup Thank you so much for the quick reply. So I bought it and have it right here - likely the most unintuitive software ever. Nonetheless, as long it works it’s okay. But: The big fat mute buttons has by default zero effect on the audio interface - only the large barrel jacks seem to mute. Do you know anything about that? So far I couldn’t find a setting to make sure that the mute button mutes the XLR mic. An essential feature for video conferencing / broadcasting this device is being promoted for 😵‍💫

Ok you mentioned it right there 6:50 briefly…. great. Since my iPad is mounted on the wall I wont be reaching for it every 5 seconds to mute / unmute myself and send this back. Someone at PreSonus product management must really have slept here given the advertisement. Do you have any alternative recommendation that has a build in dsp ? Otherwise I’ll just buy an Elgato wave link Xlr and live without compression etc. What a pity. Thank you again

Are you now using the Revelator audio interface over the DBX 286s that you used to have? Does the Revelator EQ perform better than the DBX?

    • @thefullsetup

Yes I was using the revelator as my main device for a bit, I wouldn’t say I prefer one over the over they both get my recommendation but the mixer on the revelator makes it a more bang for buck device. Currently I’m using the rodecaster pro ii and zoom f3. But I have just got the mix pre 3 so will most likely sell most of my other gear now I have that.

Whats the main difference between the revelator line and the studio line? And do you still get the studio artist DAW with these as my 26c came with it.
    Great video as always buddy

You get the studio one 5 with both revelator and the studio series. The main difference is the studio are just interfaced mic, instrument, midi in etc vs the revelator which are audio interfaces + built in dsp effects and audio routing options which makes them much better for live use streaming podcasts, etc

Good idea but it sounds awful. No clarity at all. I wanted to like it.
