To filter across multiple data sources using a parameter:
1. Connect to two data sources (in our example, we are connecting to both the Superstore sample and the Coffee Chain data sources).
2. Then, after building your initial view, create a custom parameter and use it in a calculated field (see KB article for example of parameter and calculated field examples)
3. Apply the parameter to your dashboard (if applicable)
