Firstly, thank you for being so open and vulnerable. I don’t usually watch your videos but stumbled across it on TikTok. I feel for Tariq, his whole identity was questioned. I think the age of 2-5 yrs children can comprehend what their racial identity is, the earlier the better. The mom needs to sit down her son and apologize, start off by validate his feelings and explain to him why she kept a big part of his identity a secret without going too much into details but also giving him the closure he needs.

Sometimes we forget that it’s not about parents and pointing at each other’s mistakes but it is about kids and there needs come first

Mashallah they are very sensible kids I hope they are comfortable with discussing such personal matters publically. God ease all your affairs, you’ll all do well regardless dw many people have a similar story

The mother was kinda cruel for hiding his ethnicity, im not judging but it’s sad. Shout out to the son for taking it in stride and not holding it against his mother.

No accountability from the mother, why did his mother keep it from him for so many years and think it will have no impact on their relationship

This is the mother will get abused on social media for her decision she needs to hold herself accountable she’s trying to blame the Dad but if the father isn’t a Muslim then it’s on her she decided to do the act these are the consequences ask your son and Allah SWT for forgiveness and don’t expose it on social media the son is young but when he grows older he’ll hate that his life was exposed for a podcast.

These sisters are shedding a lot on many Somali sisters scenarios. Sharing a different view one men social media hates Somali men but the reality is it’s about character every race has bad character.
