Having personally visited twice now, I can say with confidence that it is one of the very best beach vacation destinations on the planet. Many thanks! Definite yes on circular polarizer. Helps brings out those blues and greens for sure. Cape Santa Maria is awesome. We always have a great time there and it's most definitely one of the best beaches on the planet. We love the Exuma's too, but if it were up to me, I'd pick Long Island for the simple reason that it's that much further and out of the way, and I'm kinda drawn to places like that. Don't think it will be that way for much longer unfortunately with the cruise ship development planned for the south end of the island, so now is definitely a good time to visit before things change.

Can you walk / swim to that little island you shot drone footage of?
Are you referring to the sandbar at the 1:30 mark or so? If that’s the one, it requires a boat trip and is actually closer to the Exumas than Long Island. But talk to the crew at cape Santa Maria and they can set you up for a day trip. It’s mind blowing beautiful and not to be missed!!
