Smart Hip consists of leg length discrepancy, femoral head diameter and femoral offset measurements. The Smart Hip wizard will also give you post-op measurements when the template is placed allowing you to monitor changes in leg length and offset as you change the position of the cup and femoral stem. Moreover, the software uses SmartHip measurements to pre-position and pre-size the template and as a result, it will reduce the number of manual steps required to get the initial template size and position it roughly in a right place.
