Great setup, love it! I think that the Simplex TrueAlert with the standard Simplex voice evac really fits your rooms and stuff. I like the fact that they also have the ability to be used as a PA speaker. That's awesome! It's just so good to see you caring for it and making sure it works. We had this Simplex voice evacuation fire alarm in the auditorium of the high school I went to, and oddly enough only the auditorium which was in a one story building (aside from our gymnasium was in a recessed basement level with the locker rooms and storage under the bleachers), so the "walk to the nearest stairway" announcement would have been irrelevant.

Speaker strobes are generally pretty moderate. Not loud enough to be painful. It depends on the wattage they’re tapped at, though.
