I've learned so much from you. Thanks so much for your videos. I've found that when you start cutting with the bur more slowly, then the teeth grab more. Starting with a higher speed usually results in a smoother cut and is less grabby for me.
great to learn from your experience, most people would not share their learning journey because they want to hide their mistakes. Like you said, your best lessons are from your mistakes and its great to learn lessons from such an experienced eye!
...hmmmmmm, very very well done. granted it seems common sense that backwards spinning is still spinning and just as difficult to relearn than doin it the normal way. also the bur teeth are cut a certain way most teh time so it definintely makes faster work when done properly. cutting so deep isnt as much of a problem so much as the height of the cuts (the cuts need to be the same height or cut wider to compensate). you can squeeze teh prongs together sideways assuming theyre the same height, but if theyre not the same height then the gap will be there no matter what. as far as i see, only one has a real problem and its not that far off tbh.
Man setting can be so very difficult, even after you do it for a while. Just when i have thought i was doing good, you look at things from a different angle. And crap it's off......
I'm the same with setting. Spent 37 yrs on the bench doing repairs and always had someone else do the setting. I can do it, but takes me awhile.
