Great tips! I have published a RUclips video (or two) every day since September 10th 2023 on my new channel.
Consistency is huge. I just passed the 1 million view mark yesterday. I'm super excited about it, and I am still very much an amateur. I totally agree with you to just start where you are now.
Sadly, I don't have time to make a video about that on my main channel about hitting the milestone because I am so busy making videos for my second channel, my Amazon Influencer channel, and my Ezoic channel.
I still earn very little money, but I am having a blast as I learn and grow.

Hey Sarah. I just started my channel and I have posted 3 videos so far. I think my reason for procrastinating other than fear of failure is that I know my videos are going to look lousy when compared to the well established channels in my niche. Your video helped me and I have subscribed to your channel:)
I haven't seen any videos in your niche before, but I really like your thumbnails! It fits the retro vibe really well. I also love your voice! It's very soothing to listen to 😄

@@SarahMarieBlogThanks so much for watching. I made the thumbnails with the prefab stuff on Canva. I just changed the text and picture. Do you think it might help to do like everyone else and do a goofy head shot of myself in the thumbnail? I'm not skinny young and handsome like I was 30 years ago;) But in this niche looks aren't typically at the top of the list. LOL:)
@@Gen-X-Memories I don't think looks should be top priority in any niche and you should just show up as you are!
However, I noticed you didn't have a face cam, and many gaming RUclipsrs I watch don't either. So for your niche, I don't think you need to. Especially if it's not something you're exactly comfortable with!
There are a ton of successful gamers out there who never show their face in the thumbnails or videos! Likely because it doesn't add much to the gameplay. So whatever you are comfortable with is what you should do, but it's not needed I don't think!
