Mixing the halo halo first makes the flavors of all the ingredients better. The trick is mixing it from the bottom slowly so it will not spill too much.

Siomai is good when it’s steamed. Not fried. The fish balls are good if you first deep them in vinegar, then the sweet and spicy sauce. You would love it.

1:52 No, it is originally from China, but this is so long ago. It was first introduced to the Philippines in Binondo Manila, the oldest Chinatown in the world (since 1594). So it is literally CENTURIES ago since it was introduced to the Philippines, and changed a lot since then. So it IS an original filipino street food, 100% :) Because otherwise the USA would have to call the hamburger german food, because about 150 years ago it came from Germany. But nobody would say this, because USA changed it and made it their own :) I often see Filipinos being not so confident about their achievements as a country, and give other people and countries credit, when its their own achievement. Hope they will find the right amount of country pride. They mostly always look up to others countries, while they are capable of everything.

😅 Nothing like a great karaoke to cap the night! Batchoy is normally served piping hot with a raw egg (egg drop style). Stir to cook egg and enjoy creamy broth. They serve it boiled egg specifically for Americans 😂 Which makes me wonder why salmonella is never a scare in Asia. Organic (disease resistant) eggs maybe.
This was definitely a great night enjoying different foods and the beautiful sunset. RUclips hit us with a copyright for the Karaoke so we need to remove it. Not like we sounded that good like the real thing so not sure why they care! 😅 😂

While there try Laswa vege soup or gintaang langka… then on the meaty side: Afritada, menudo, kare-kare, kaldereta, lengua estofada, etc.
@polgonzales We found a nice AirB&B house in Sipalay by the beach and wanted to stay in a less touristy place to see how locals live. We did this as a lesson for our kids. We are full time traveling and home school our kids so we travel slower and on a budget. Of course we love visiting the tourist spots too but for shorter visits. Our future Philippines trip will be to Cebu, Boracay and Palawan and we're excited for that! 😊
those are probablly flan ratherthan mangoes in the halo-halo. mango's taste will overpower the ube. only fruits used in halo-halo is usually the coconut shreds and preserved jackfruit... and "kaong" but its a rarity nowadays.
Contrary to the Seller, SIOMAI is not Korean Food. It is Chinese in origin /influence embraced locally and therefore considered Filipino Food I prefer Steamed SIOMAI than fried.

Siomai was influenced by Chinese not Korean. There are no Filipino foods that were derived from Korean influence.
