even HUAWEI p40 pro from 2020 HUAWEIs kirin 990 from 2019 is better than vivio x 100 ultra in perfect detail photo and HUAWEI pura 70 ultra is even better but it wasn't good as my HUAWEI pura 70 pro maybe it have fix by update by now

Thanks for another great video, keep in mind sometimes when a pic appears softer, its not always because of less sharpness but strong denoise that X100P used in more samples then not.
Also one suggestion, would it be possible to mark how much zoom you use when you compare side by side? thanks
P.S. For me X100U is winner in camera apk ui because of the sharpness option, so i would at least give it 4.7 vs 4.6 on X100P.

Another amazing comparison - thanks for all your hard work! I am still using the X90 pro+ - I'm a photographer and use its dedicated 2x portrait lens a lot. Would love to see how it compares to the 2x crop on the x100/Ultra. Not giving up this phone yet. Where is the X90 pro+ ranked on your list? Didn't see it in the top 15, but thought it would beat the S23 ultra

Auch wenn ich mit der Qualität meines X100pros sehr zufrieden bin, gibt's doch leider oft Situationen, an denen mir die Bilder zu kontrastreich sind. Ich wünsche es gäbe einen Modus oder eine Option um das zu steuern.

The reason i said that is because all smartphones nowadays can take a great daylight shots. But in low light is where the battle begins.
I do not see any phone took better photos at night than Vivo X100 Pro/Ultra.

It is always the same with all brands, not just Vivo; the newer and more expensive phones will be better than their previous models. But if you look at the photos on social media, the small details are barely visible.
Awesome comparison mate. Im still really happy with my Oppo find x7 ultra, but im super jealous of the ability to swap from front camera to back camera during video 😅 my old Samsung could do that i don't know why Oppo doesn't allow it.
Yeah thats a feature that also Honor has on the 200 Pro and 90 and 70 and 50 but never put it in the flagship. Same with Huawei. And I don't know why.

Hello! I'm not trying to criticize your work, and I appreciate every video you make. But, as a suggestion, In my opinion you spend to much time analyzing differences that are really not there, or are not that important. For example, I paused the video now in 7:49 (didn't see the whole video yet). You recorded some building from distance, very statics scenario, barely captured anything with main cam e zoom cam, and then kept analyzing little color or sharpness differences. We had barely anything to watch/compare! I think it would be much better to compare a long video with different light conditions, pointing on to different objects, scenes, people around, different trees, windows, things closer, moving, etc, and you could evaluate while you are recording, not after. We know your analysis could vary after looking at a bigger screen, but we would then forming our opinion with you, with much more content in less time, more examples, it would bem much more dynamic, with more challenging condition and so on. Keep it on! Gonna finish watching the video now.

I couldn't agree more. Not only here of course but many reviewers spend too many time in pixel peeping. Differences which are not visible even in 4K monitor in a slide show or better printed in a photo book. This analysis with too many words makes the review not that watchable. It could be more useful to more people if such details skipped. I personally prefer how portraits of static or even moving persons or animals can be taken, during daylight or in more difficult lighting scenarios but not in the dark.
@@eemix Everyone has its preferences. The reason why its so detailed in so many aspects as I got more and more input from people that wanted this or that tested.
At one point I said enough is enough and called it a day.
@@eemix Perfect! Try to take a photo at midday inside a church mildly dark inside, but against an open door with bright day outside. Then there will be plenty of difference to comment on. Or try to take a photo of your child running against the sunset which is coming from an opening between two buildings. Even the flagships will struggle to capture a good photo, and that would differentiate them for me. If we only compare in normal situations, we will have to pixel peep a photo for 10 minutes in a large monitor to barely see any difference whatsoever.
Please please do x100 pro vs x200 pro. Im very curious about the main sensor that now is smaller

What i think its not worth spending money on Ultra if some one owns Pro wait for 200 series. Pro still delivers great pictures in my opinion and also its not day and night difference between pro and ultra

Indeed if we only compare cameras Pro is very good, in my case there were more things which forced me to buy x100u instead of x100p.

They look blurry because most android phone captured multiple exposures and combined them into one frame.... that's why single exposure from old android camera looks sharper

Hi, I am wondering if you have found this problem with the vivo x100 pro with the latest update. For me if I am recording 4k selfie video indoors (not the best lighting, but I was even using a ring light) the quality is not great, but if I have a light background behind me, the noise is absolutely terrible. I feel this latest update has ruined my selfie camera, and as a content creator it has severely disappointed me, to the point of wanting to switch phones. To see the issue you can check the "how we managed our relationship" video on my channel, I even cropped and applied de-noise to try to fix it, but it is still really bad. I would love it if you could shed light on this issue so hopefully they fix it. Please do a video on it 🥺
I recorded a small little video but don't see too much noise in those scenarios. Did you maybe have noise filtering turned off in settings? It should only affect pro mode but you never know.
I checked, it is enabled. I mostly notice it indoors, with light background and in backlight situations. Thanks for the reply!

In the portrait mode when the shot has more than 4 people the bokeh doesn't apply to the photo... Why is that??? 🤔 is there any solution???

Ultra wins hands down. Pro is less consistent and the contrasty look can have waay too much contrast in numerous situations and that sucks. Not to mention the white balance management is not always reliable.

We will see. I addressed the issue multiple times and showed some "fixes" or workarounds.
Hopefully Vivo can find a way to fix it.

@@hassanepour9830 Video is better imho on the X100 Pro thanks to a better colour rendition. Tele is better at night on the Ultra. The main camera is also slightly better. Check my ranking

@@hassanepour9830 The camera ranking is what I meant. Of course only for cameras then. The rest of the system is pretty much the same. The Ultra just has worse bettery life.
so far, Ultra is not a worth upgrade from the Pro. we are happy with it. :)

Front Kameras haben generell keine Stabilisierung, ebensowenig die Ultraweitwinkel Kamera.

Nubia hat beim Z60 Ultra OIS eingebaut für die Ultraweitwinkel. Wobei das bei 18mm eher Weitewinkel als Ultraweitwinkel ist

P40 pro and especially the Pro Plus version was ahead of its time. Easily could keep up with phones two generations later. But not nowadays anymore.

Ja na przykład mam odwrotne doświadczenia. Wymieniłem p40 na x100 ultra i jest lepiej niż się spodziewałem.
@@glutworkout9774 dokładnie ja jestem także pod ogromnym wrażeniem x100u, którego posiadam 3 mc. Tyle, że przyznam głównie robię fotki a nie wideo.
Videos are not the strongest on the Vivo X100 Ultra or Pro but surely you can get a good impression in my comparison about the video performance. I am not doing some hollywood movies with it for sure as I am lacking the skill (currently).
For simple vlogs however its perfectly fine like almost every other phone in my top 10 or even top 15 ranking.
Both phones produce very inconsistent results, that's about the only conclusion!
