Man, came back to watch this again for Dos Santos, but what a race for Happio! As the commentator says, he ran 48.18 as a massive PB just to make this final... then he almost steals bronze with ANOTHER massive PB. This is a runner who had never been under 48 seconds and he ran 47.4 in the championship! Collapsed across the line. Talk about leaving it all out there... impressive effort
One good thing the Covid rescheduling has provided us is that we get to watch this historic field at a major for the third year in a row! Can't wait for Budapest
If they could all stay healthy, the 400mH for both women (Syd, Femke, Britton, Dalilah & Shamier) & Men (Rai, Karsten & Dos Santos) could've been truly special this year!
Sydney beats everyone for fun and for Rai Benjamin to win gold he needs to somehow take a second off where he's currently at, and hope the other 2 are off form on the day.
Bassitt is a total class act, as is Rai. It’s why Rai was genuinely happy for him. Two great teammates and competitors. A joy to see… still think Rai has a gold run left in him.
I really hope it isn’t a career altering meniscus injury for Dos Santos. Warholm seems to be on the right end of his hammy injury from a year ago. Hoping he can start running 46’s again
@@carsongambaro Well, it sure tanked his 2023 but now on 2024 I'm happy to inform it did not end his career at all, dude has been flying out there prior to Paris Olympics, I dare say he might be the favorite for gold right now.
@@DakonBlackblade2 this year may be the hardest year to pick yet. If Karsten doesn’t hit that last barrier he probably wins that Oslo race. Rai is looking dangerous as well, and McMaster showed us his class last year. I would love to see a race with four guys below 47.
The best moment is Trevor Bassitt being terrified at being tackled, then over the moon when he sees it's Rai Benjamin. 😂😂😂 Dos Santos deserved this and he had been pushing his way towards to top over time. This was a great race.
They said Trevor Bassitt was world indoor champion, he was actually silver medallist at the indoors in 2022. Great effort to come through for the bronze in this race though.
@@sharkkeeper01 Because you think losing to the 2nd best ever is a bad thing. It's not like he was the fastest ever with the same guy being right behind him

Trevor Bassitt was more impressive in the last 100m to take bronze.
I've been wondering for years, what is this commentator's name? He was clearly born for the job
So true
When you find out, please tell me.
@StillThinking Rob Walker is his name
I was just thinking exactly the same. Passion, eloquence and pure entertainment
Andres Cantor in soccer comes to mind when hearing Walker
Rai Benjamin running over to congratulate Trevor Bassitt is one of my favorite moments of these WChamps
That completely made me a big fan of Rai Benjamin, if I hadn't already been one.
These men are bringing the hurdles events to the Frontline of the sport
Now that's how you call a great race. That commentator understood the assignment. BRAVO
Orgulho do esporte brasileiro!🇧🇷

He needs to not be so relaxed before the bend
Too bad will not have a Three way battle this season since Dos Santos his out with injury.
His personality is a beam of hope ❤

All hail the power of knee surgery 😄

His dance at the start❤
This is the race ever!

400 meters hurdles has never been at this level. Wow
eu esperei nesse dia até perto da meia noite para ver o pio e fui feliz!
I believe if Warholm, Benjamin and Dos Santos go out head-to-head in their best shapes, the WR will dip below 45.5 sec.
That ain’t happening…

Dos Santos made them all look like rookies. BRASIL!!! 🔥🔥🔥

0:31 Trevor Bassitt is not a World Indoor Champion over 400 flat
This is BRAZIOOOOOOOOOOH 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Black people give brazil medal in athletics, gymnastics, mma yet they are most hated there
2022?
I am also confused by the year.
covid fkd everything up lol
Was he really making it to the 3rd, 4th, and 5th hurdles in 12 steps???
❤❤
2:22 Best Mark Records !
ทำไม 400 เมตร ข้ามรั้วไม่ต้องตัดเลน แต่ 400 ธรรมดาต้องวิ่งตัดเลนครับ
#2 SOON
New championship Record 46.29 sec !
I dont understand how you can be the fastest ever and then a short time later not even be on the podium
Injury
he's injured here .. he just dominated and won the 23 world title .. he's back
@@steelermiawell he wasn’t injured this year and still lost

What’s up with his head
Third degree burns from hot oil as a baby.

If Dos Santos didn't do that stupid chest slap, he'd have gone sub 46s 🤡
