I agree with your assessment of Epic Woman 56. It’s so rich and mellow and seductive. It feels like the song of a cello versus the (still beautiful) violin of the original. Intoxicating, isn’t it? ✨

I believe Epic Woman was CZ's first release ever, not just her first Amouage. Simply amazing to burst onto the scene with that. Really shows how she was making waves early on for Amouage to ask her to make Epic to kickstart her career. Incredible perfumer!

The original MFK Oud extrait is HIGHLY underrated and underestimated.
You really gotta smell it on someone else to appreciate the amazing aromas coming from this scent.

Couldn't agree more on MFK Oud Satin Mood, but Oud Silk Mood is even better imo

Sorry to say but some perfumes are marketed towards women because the scent is feminine. Men and women do not naturally smell the same. So, perfumes are created to enhance those aspects.. You only find this trend of blending genres and blurring lines with the new ideologies about confused genres. Although one could wear baby powder for all I care, Ysatis, Poison, Shalimar will always be feminine. Kouros, Antaeus will always be masculine. Some perfumes are right in the middle but don't try to push the idea that genre in perfume doesn't exist.

While I completely agree with your sentiment, I think you’re barking at the wrong tree here. This guy would never push this agenda, he just loves amazing perfume (even if feminine-leaning). But yeah, there are a lot of weirdos out there who claim that perfume does not have a gender, and that’s just rubbish.

It's okay buddy, you can wear rose fragrances and still keep your man card. 😘

@chaostheory3011 For your information, I do wear rose frags: POAL, Lyric Man, Rose Taif Extrait, and Kazimi, to name a few. Don't miss the post, though, that the bone of contention was that gender do not exist in fragrances, that it's just a marketing tactic.

There alot of Womens who wear sauvage or dior home because they like it. Parfum is a personal thing. Uni sex is made to show that it doesn't matter of it is more male or female.
