Does anybody if the six pot engine used on these models is a true db designed engine was never very impressed without non turbo model hadn’t any thing like the getup and go of the 995/1390 4 cylinder models ?

Yes true DB engine.
You could increase the fuel settings on the injector pump that would help just don't over do it
Think previous owners had done that already she used to pump out black smoke like a black five steam loco when under load 😳
Damn, not the same sound as a Valmet, those are vicious, the CASE just sounds like another tractor.
