Hi Ian, I have just watched your latest video and in answer to your question I enjoy them all, especially those showing the Scottish landscape in the north east region because I know it. Other reasons for watching you? I don't know, when I first got my model Y I watched every thing and now I have narrowed it down to you and Dave. Sorry I can't be more helpful. Keep up the good work. Regards, Ian Taylor
I like all of your videos but the ones that most appeal to me are your travel ones, particularly the ones showing the beautiful Scottish landscape. Your honest analysis of the considerable strengths and some of the weakness of owning an EV are also of great interest. Thank you for many enjoyable video sessions.
I agree with Robert. I asked an older man if he was going to get a Tesla a couple of years ago and he said that he'd like to but he doesn't need to drive anywhere. I too most like watching a tour through beautiful country which is being commented on by a happy driver who has business to attend to along the way.
Dispelling the myth of longer journeys in a Tesla is key. Although we're in the minority, people do drive regular longer journeys as part of their work/private life..
I watch pretty much all of your videos, but really like the long distance ones. Would like to see how little charging time you can do - using faster SC, lower state of charge & efficient driving perhaps?
I think I have watched all of your postings and we have witnessed your progress of getting to know and understand the car when you first got it, you kindly took us on that journey with you. Also the over the air upgrades, it is uncharted territory for many of us. We have been treated to being your co-driver and seeing firsthand stunning scenery in your company. Most of the comments applaud these postings and rightly so in my opinion. The travelogue will always be the most popular just because of the constantly changing scene. Too many postings, only of talking heads, can be visually boring and desperately needs different visuals to back up what is being talked about. The only time a talking head grips the viewer is when the information is seriously interesting or mind boggling. Or directly affects the viewer. For me a well videoed travelogue will always get my vote. But I do appreciate a well made informative posting, up to a point. CHEERS.
Congratulations! For me, this is a channel where i found a normal guy being happy to share it’s Tesla experience. I have a MY too, i come here to see normal, unaltered news about the Tesla software and other Tesla stuff. No hate, nobody hunting for views, just a normal guy who actually understand what this car is capable and know how to use it properly. Keep up doing this normal stuf and you’ll have at least one subscriber 😃
Congratulations on your landmark achievement. I also got a Model Y at the same time as you did and I was watching to get information. My favourite videos of yours are when you fight back at the anti ev people tell the truth and talk common sense about the experience of owning an EV. We need more of that to stop all of those haters out there!! Well done again!!
Sorry to hear about the existential crisis. As a relatively new Tesla owner (6 months) I look forward to your videos every week to learn more about owning and driving a Tesla (although I’ve had a Kia eNiro for 3 years so not an EV nube). So yes to more long drives so I can understand economy and navigation, especially in the different weather conditions. Seeing the different superchargers is also really helpful. No complaints if it becomes too much for you or you slow down, I’ve loved every minute of it
As one of the 3% of your audience who is female, I like your honest approach to real life situations. As a Tesla owner, it’s interesting to see your service centre experiences, new product trials, and general updates on the car’s new features. The road trips are also interesting. I prefer them when they include a trial of a new product along the way. Although the Scottish landscape makes a great backdrop, I’m not so keen on the videos that focus heavily on the landscape, but they do make a change every now and then, and I’m sure they are great for Scottish tourism. Keep making a great mix of videos, like you have been, and you can’t really go wrong. Have you ever thought about getting another Tesla RUclipsr on as a guest?
I found your channel while seriously thinking of buying an EV. I watched many RUclips EV videos. I still look forward to a Friday when you upload one of yours. I just got a Tesla, a used one, and your content has been extremely useful to me. I enjoyed your long road trips and efficiency stats, I enjoyed your Applecross trip and also just videos on living with a Tesla. Just be yourself and it should fall into place. I also enjoyed your attempt at fitting protective film to your headlights even though it didn't go to plan! I tried that as well and can testify it ain't easy 😂. Keep up the good work, I really do enjoy your content.
Congratulations Ian. Here's to the next million 🙂 As for content etc. Personally I watch your channel and dream, as I don't have a Tesla, and quite honestly can't see me having one. The type of videos you make, it's like being there with you, along for the ride, easy watching, often informative. The tours are great.
What you are doing works - bloke with Tesla Model Y does driving, no crap just easy to watch and informative. I didn’t watch to the end of the Cybertruck video as you aired it very close to the end of Cybertruck overload on every YT channel and I was fed up with seeing the darned thing that is not likely to ever come to the UK or even Europe other than in minuscule personal import numbers for Premier League footballers. I don’t own a Tesla and have no desire for one but I enjoy your presentation skills and the runs like the Applecross run are great even to someone who lives in the Central Belt of Scotland who has seen Applecross many many times from the sea sailing passed on a yacht but has never had the time to drive there.
Thoroughly enjoying your channel. What I like is the anticipation of your chosen subject. You always manage to include something different but interesting to your Tesla viewers. Having been a Tesla owner for just over a year I have gleaned a lot of interesting facts about the car. Keep it up 👍👍
I''m here in the States (NY), have a Tesla Y/LR for a little over a year, and enjoy seeing what your experience is like in the UK on road trips and at chargers. You have a nice, straight-forward, down-to-earth style which I like, so I subscribed and liked your channel. Just keep doing varied content and the views will come. I'm also interested in seeing the 'mentality' of 'regular' folks in the UK towards EVs (how many are clueless, how many EV haters there are, is the misinformation the same, etc.)
It's fun recognising most of the places you're driving. Think the software update resonated even though I got it a week before you, but it was nowhere near as big a deal on Atom as it was on Ryzen.
Congrats! I like watching your videos! Well researched. Down to earth and to the point is what gets me to watch your content. You are cutting out a lot of the hype for topics that are interesting and deserve to be explained well without turning it into a marketing job.
Well done on getting over 1 million views. I do enjoy your trips and seeing the great scenery. I also think that showing the longer trips and how charging was and explaining you have stopped to eat/drink and charged the car, are very good to help people see they can live with an EV. I do believe that the deeper dive into the new software is also great as many people are not techy and showing what is added and how it works is very helpful for many people. So explaining anything new to Tesla I am sure will always do well, the rest is showing how we live with an EV and how easy it is. I must say I do enjoy your content and thoughts, even as an EV owner for over 3 years, super technical with my home and having gone in all electric with solar PV , Tesla Powerwall, an ASHP and the Tesla Model 3 RWD Highland. I love to support and watch the videos to help push them to other people and have hope that you help people to think about owning an EV and that they do work.
Congratulations on the landmark! I always look forward to your new videos each Friday. From my point of I enjoy the videos of you being an ordinary bloke sharing your personal opinions and visiting interesting and beautiful places in a car you are clearly passionate about. Not so interested in the Tesla update type videos as they just are ten a penny. Congrats again and all the best for the next million views.
Congratulations Ian on your landmark don’t worry what videos you do I just look forward to watching your videos on a Saturday morning and I’m shore other people just enjoy watching the videos to great achievement mate keep them coming 👍👍
As a fellow youtuber, albeit a different subject I know what you mean! I’ve sweated over videos that I thought were going to be huge and that line on the graph has stayed below that ‘grey smoke’ area of the graph. I’ve made videos I wasn’t 100% about and they’ve gone crazy. It’s a dark art! Your channel was a big help in making the decision to switch to a Tesla, and combine that with an area of the country I always pine for, I am very grateful you do what you do. 👏🏻
I like your touring ones, with the scenery and a little of the history of where you are. The Applecross trip was excelent and brought back great memories. Technical ones to do with software updates, various ways of controling the car, and any accesories you trial. In other words, carry on.
Well your humour and delivery is the key. Since watching your content I bought a model 3 so it’s even more relevant. However I believe that showing the majority that are currently ICE how good and enjoyable driving electric and especially a Tesla makes good content. The travel ones probably give you more scope to deliver a fuller experience to your audience. I presume by looking at your stats on viewer engagement you might be able to see a trend? Anyway Ian keep up the great work!
Huge congratulations . You are a very entertaining down to earth person and that means even though I don't have an EV all your content is enjoyable and informative. Keep on doing what you are doing as that's why we follow you. 😊
Ian, I got my Model Y LR very shortly after you and was keen to learn all about my vehicle from someone knowable and enthusiastic. I love your no nonsense approach. I think going forward I love to see new tech. Like yourself I won't be buying the new model 3 but found it very interesting watching you and listening to your opinions. Would you consider reviewing/investigating solar energy i.e. a Tesla power wall? I would be interested to see how feasible and cost effective such a system would be for your everyday Tesla driver and family home. Congratulations on the million views 🥳🚗
Here's my take on it. I joined your channel because I was also buying a Model Y and wanted to know how others were finding it. I follow a bunch of Tesla and EV channels and I still think there is space for a simple channel filming their day to day trips and just documenting what its like to live with an EV. So for any trip which is going to need a charge, perhaps a look at ABRP planning the trip (or maybe just the Tesla planner), then the thought process about charging stops etc, then a brief video of the trip itself, the charging experience and then a final wrap up, perhaps detailing costs. Most of this could be shot on a phone in single takes, very easy to edit. You would probably need to do some of these using public chargers as opposed to Tesla network. New potential EV owners can then look at REAL-LIFE use cases and not one-off slightly niche case road-trips which no-one is going to do anyway.
Congrats on your view count! On my channel here in North America I travel everywhere in my Teslas and really enjoy the challenge of showing everyone how I do it and show lots of places and scenery along the way. Folks love to travel along seeing things they would normally not see. May I suggest you continue to show us around islands it’s awesome to travel along. Safe travels Cheers
Well done, Ian. As millions of UK homes don't have off-street parking to facilitate home charging, I would like you to diarise, for one calendar month, how you would cope using your Tesla when relying entirely on public charging points, including, crucially, overnight.
Love your channel. Thinking of purchasing a Tesla and came across your videos. Love your road trips and “on the fly” experience with your Tesla. Keep up the great work. Congrats with the landmark achievement. 🎉🎉🎉
Not sure I can be helpful. I watch pretty much watch all of your videos for a few reasons. First, I do own a Tesla model Y and a 3 standard range. I just enjoy comparing your experiences with mine and maybe even get a heads up on any features (or issues) you might be experiencing. I also grew up in Scotland so love seeing you out and about on your drives through the country. So for me we crossed paths in both ways, cars and country. I hope you can keep the channel going, looking forward to your long term experience with the car as we both experience our Teslas.
Road trips are why i joined. I also have a model Y so enjoy your experiences. How about some trips south to other parts of the UK. Wales. Ireland. Then the rest of Europe. But its all good.
Hello Ian, firstly a massive thanks for producing so many interesting and informative videos. Whilst I enjoy all of them your road trips, especially around the remote parts of Scotland, are the most interesting. Would also enjoy your experiences with other EVs and looking forward to your 2 year ownership report. Co-incidentally I also purchased my first Tesla in September 22 but having covered half the mileage you have. Keep up the good work it is really appreciated.
I honestly like all your videos but if I had to pick a type its probably the ones where you are driving you're model Y around the Scottish countryside and showing what the car can do. I'd enjoy product tests as well even though I'm getting a model 3 I imagine there's a lot of crossover between the two. In trying to decide which EV to get the videos where you use the supercharger network and how things work on the car have been invaluable to me for making my mind up to 'just get a tesla'. Well done on the 1M.
I have watched your videos from the start as I already drive an EV but aspirationally want to trade up to a Tesla. User experience, range in different conditions and issue interest me. Quite a lot of users have LFP cars and it would be interesting to pitch a long range against an LFP one, for charging times and distance. I know ABRP can work all that out, but that’s not real world enough for me. I’m hoping to get a used 3 or Y eventually and your ongoing review help to cement my desire to ‘just get a Tesla’ please keep up the good work. P.s. I was a little shocked to see how much you had made from RUclips. People assume that there is £’s to be made from each video. Definitely, for the love of the art. 👍
Good morning from Brisbane Australia! I did watch this video on the weekend, but wanted to throw up a comment that I'm loving all your videos mate, keep them coming! I think my favourites are your road trips showcasing the beautiful UK landscape!! Especially the Scottish highland areas. I can't get over how beautiful your country is. And to be doing it in a Tesla is just a huge bonus. 🙂
Hi Ian, I have enjoyed your videos, all of them. Your enthusiasm and honesty is what defines them. I can't help about what one is better than another. So my only suggestion, your channel "Just get a Tesla" how about some more content, why? Perhaps on your travels you might interview other electric brand customers, maybe at broken or expensive other chargers, something like that. Or go test drive a model Y performance and compare with yours. I know I would not even consider any other EV other than a Tesla such is my appreciation of my model Y and the Supercharger network. Best of luck and roll on 10k subscribers.
I have enjoyed all your videos, especially the trips through Scotland and all over the U.K. I hope you'll just go ahead with your work. I don't have a Tesla yet, but I hope I'll succeed next year!
Ian, I look forward to your videos every Friday. I subscribe to a few "Tesla" RUclipsrs but yours I find the most enjoyable. as a Canadian, your british accent and humour is fun. I enjoy your travel videos in the Model Y and your chalenging of the anti-ev folks. What I didn't like was the video on accessories. There are many YT folks doing accessory videos which I find redundent. Keep up the good work and "Carry On"!
I am a long time follower of Bjorn and other EV minded channels and came across you last year. Loving your channel. Yes videos about updates and about your own experiences are great (keep them going). Maybe some sidequests are cool (like testing the reliability of the fast charging network in Schotland, England, maybe even Wales). Maybe tracking and sharing charging costs. Keep up the good work Ian. Try not to fall for the 'i have to upload every xxx days' better upload less frequently and keeping the quality constant..
I started watching your channel a year ago because I was thinking about buying an EV. I can say I have watched every episode and in Dec last year bought a M3 purely because of your enthusiasm for Tesla and you putting my mind at ease about charging ie I could I travel somewhere over say 200 miles and know I wouldnt be stuck either on the side of the road or at a non functioning charging station with 0% battery. I would not have an EV today without your input and it is a Tesla because of your input so thank you. My favourite vlogs are road trips - the Cybertuck video probably bombed because we in the UK cant buy one even if we wanted one so not really interested (but I still watched it). Thanks again
Hey Ian, great video. Your content is great and I watch just about everything. Personally I love the travel videos, including charging destinations etc. Less keen on the ‘sitting in the car’ chatting videos.
Love that you hit your first million 😁. Well deserved ma man! Don't forget what you are providing here.... time! You provide time to us in two ways: - You SAVE us time by researching Tesla news, consolidating info, running us through Tesla updates so we don't have to read them, testing products so we don't waste our money etc. - You provide escapism time. We all want to switch off....used to be sit and watch EastEnders or Corrie, now it's experiencing the Scottish Highlands (or travelling around the UK in general) in a car familiar to us. That familiarity is where we click, it makes it seem possible, like we could do it (and probably should). The cybertruck vid may simply have been accessibility of the actual car. Your subscribers are majority UK based, where the cybertruck is not available to buy so don't look too much into your production/research value. Just keep going buddy. Be confident with what you've achieved and that people still want it. Imagine standing in a field 3 years ago and 7,000 people coming to see you. You wouldn't believe it but that's the power of your content and RUclips...it's freaking awesome. Big love!
I like all your videos and look forward to seeing the new videos you post. Personally I like the road trip videos because I've never been to the UK and I like seeing Scotland.
Congrats on the million views! I've watched all of your videos and have found them all to be worthwhile, though my preference is the travels ones paritcularly when you're visitng scenic locations. I now have a list of must visit places! Might be good to see some colaborations with other EV RUclipsrs, EVM, Robert Llewellyn etc ? Your videos were a main reason why I ended up going with a Tesla, a model 3 LR in my case, simply down to the way you have shown all the good and bad points in an honest way rather than just being a full on fan boy. Keep up with the varied content but looking forward to the NC500 series! Onwards to the next million :)
Watching your Scottish scenery vids makes a pleasant change from the 'boring'? Australian videos that I have made driving in mostly dead flat semi deserts. I am crap at editing, haven't even began to create a YT channel like yours, but, you are inspiring never the less. One day I will get off my arse and do it. Good luck for whichever direction you take your channel.
A lot of us used to watch another RUclipsr going through the Tesla updates, but they didn’t draw you in..your videos are better and in detail. The Cybertruck video probably had less viewings as it’s a LHD vehicle we don’t want to buy..💷💷👍
Congratulations on the milestone. The update video is popular because people like to hear from someone they know will run through it with them in a down earth manner from a regular person not a RUclipsr looking for likes.. plus the scenic trips are amazing as my father is from Aberdeen and we spent some time in some of those places you have been too when I was a kid. Brings back good memories. Thank you for that. As we all live in Australia now it’s nice to have you do the travelling for me. 👍🇦🇺
Hi Ian Many congratulations on the millions views!! I have been with you since the very beginning and still love the channel 👍👍 I particularly like the wrong road trip content as it helps keep up to date with superchargers development and news By the way, but the bullet this week and am reading in the 21 M3 for a Y !!
Well done. I see your thumbnail and I click! I love when you go into a remote or gorgeous villages like Pennan. I prefer the village bit rather then a lot of the driving bit (maybe ½ to ⅔ what you currently put up). Have also enjoyed your walk through videos. As an owner I’ve found out stuff about our model y from your walk through…including the mid rear passenger seat head rest! Sounds to me that impromptu content that you think you’d enjoy is the stuff to focus on.
Congratulations Ian, I’ve watched every single episode and have enjoyed them all for the different content. When I first got my model Y I referred to your videos (rather then tesla’s handbook, as I remembered you doing a setup video) when I wanted to know how to do something or change something on the screen, so they were most helpful 👍. I, like others have said, really enjoy your road trips and the stunning Scottish scenery. I would like to take my Tesla abroad at some stage and I know you said you were time restricted, but a trip overseas I would personally find interesting as in how you get on and any issues that you might have. Thanks for all the insightful stuff you’ve posted so far and here’s to another 1m views 🍻
Congratulations on the 1m views. You ask a lot of very pertinent questions in your video, one of the key ones being “why do some fly and some die?” I wish I knew! Anything I put out with Tesla as the subject generally flops, but anything to do with Motorhomes does (by my standards) very well. As I’m not monetized I take the stance that videos I put out are ones which interest me, and hopefully others will enjoy the ride. So I think Ian that you should beat your own drum here, do what you enjoy doing, and your natural enthusiasm will bring others along. Personally I really enjoy your road trip videos and adventures, and am less interested in Tesla News. But above all, keep going, it’s a great channel and one which I thoroughly enjoy watching.
Find all your videos on RUclips okay? Just like to watch your videos and just carry on how you going on and it will make me quite happy thank you very much.
Hi Ian, I really enjoy your travel videos. I also enjoy your quirky personally. It may not be as quirky as I think it is, because I am viewing from New Jersey USA. May I suggest keep doing what you are doing. Remember that you are not going to have a hit video every time out. You have to fail to succeed. That's the nature of creating things.
Hi, it was you who inspired me to get a Tesla, I enjoyed watching your road trips content and as a diamond member with Hilton hotels I use them a lot like yourself so you kinda reminded me of myself, however as a pure petrol head ( I drive a Mercedes E350 sports coupe) you convinced me it’s far cheaper to go down the Ev route ( pun intended) ……. I’m so glad I did, except the dreaded phantom braking I love my model 3 LR ….all thanks to you.
I,wonder if the popularity of the spring update video was as much about timing as quality, the way you covered the update was less polished than someone that had spent a couple of days scripting and rehearsing, but by being less polished it came across as a more honest review with your actual live thoughts about the changes. However, with the update dropping on the Thursday, I think yours was probably also one of the earliest videos to go up. I like the channel mix, but I really like the reviews, and the honest opinions or useful products, and the trip videos with the stunning views of Scotland. I also find the autopilot videos really interesting and in general I think the length of the videos is more or less spot on. There are some US channels I regularly watch, Out of Spec Dave and EV Dave being two, but sometimes the videos are just too long or too much the same. Yours are just about right, long enough to get the opinions or the stunning scenery across without being too long to watch. I guess for me just keep things as they are with a mix of content and make whatever you like making (and have the time for). I know yours is one of the channels I always settle down to watch on a Friday evening, pretty much without fail.
Just get a Tesla.. We did, a Model Y, nearly 2 years ago. I love your very thoughtful and frank discussions on anything related to your Tesla and life in and around Scotland. Please keep discussing about the great things about yours and the ownership experience including the good, bad, and ugly..like having the repair trouble. Maybe, have a look at other BEVs from the perspective of whether or not it boils down to just get a Tesla as your final verdict or not. Maybe a checklist from looks to price would make it easier. Ask us for our thoughfs, maybe a poll here or there? The trip videos are a treat but a lot of work! If you ever do more, I'm not the only one here that enjoy them. Just some thoughts. Congrats! Lotsa love to all from Toronto ❤❤❤
Congratulations 🎉! Here’s some feedback for you . I’m in the minority according to your stats. I’m female, 74, living in the US, Southern California, where I have lots of other Teslas that I share the road with. I bought my Tesla Y, 2 years ago(and love it every day!) and always anxious to learn all I can about how to get the best out of using my car. I started watching your videos because you made owning a Tesla so interesting and fun. Seeing you drive your Tesla in those tight spaces along the seaside was great. A few years back I was lucky to get to visit Scotland and England. What a beautiful place! So I really enjoy your driving trips through the country and all you experience while driving your Tesla. Interesting that you mention how you talk.. to me your speech is very easy to understand and follow because you annunciate so clearly and do not speak too fast. Many people are hard to understand because they don’t speak clearly. Hope my feedback helps. Keep up the great work! 😊
Certainly on my channel my experience is that the videos that take the least effort to make create the largest views. My video: How to rescue a Model 3 from a flat battery was done in just three takes, and it's the biggest hit. I didn't even have a flat battery, but I reckon the simple idea of a flat battery in a Model 3 just somehow resonates with peoples worst fears even if it isn't even something that comes true for most owners. Meanwhile the holiday videos achieve hardly any views despite having to pull together lots of cuts, voiceovers, facts and contexts. They are hard work, and despite few views, they are personally more satisfying to make. But I am in a similar position to you. I've got the Solar, the EV and now the heatpump and the A rated EPC certificate. What next? Another 600 mile challenge? There needs to be "something else". I've got an idea brewing for having "more solar" and "more batteries" given how cheap the hardware is getting now. Solar fences in particular. So that would probably be worth another 4 or 5 videos of seeing that project go from idea to performance analysis. But still, it's hard for me. But for you: Your channel name is very focussed, and that simultaneously brings people to your channel, but I suppose it makes it challenging to make new content. I like the strengths of your channel: You keep it real and honest and that makes it relatable. So I guess the next step is a Tesla Powerwall. It's a perfect fit for your channel name.
As someone looking to buy their first electric car which will be a Tesla I look to you to give me the day-to-day running costs. Fax of wire tester is the best electric car to buy. Keep the good work. I enjoy your videos.
Congratulations. I pretty much watch all your videos. I especially like the trips and the day to day using a Tesla. I think the best ones are you being off the cuff and a bit less scripted. Having said that I would imagine that you would want some notes etc to keep a structure. Someone once told me that you have to prepare well to be spontaneous. Having said that I did like the cyber truck video. I got my model Y pretty much the same time as you and plan to drive it until it falls apart. It’s always good to know your experiences. Products and accessories reviews are good as well. It feels like your friend is recommending something
Congratulations on the channel growth. For me as a yet to be EV owner, I'm a bit of a drop-in-out viewer for every channel connected with EVs because I want to learn everything (over a year now) about them before I bite the bullet. I'm not especially a Tesla fan and don't like the look of the earlier cars but do appreciate the technology but loathe the lack of drivers display and indicator stalks. That alone may put me off. However I am interested and may well buy the new model Y or Kia EV6 this winter as I want to tow up to 1600 kilos. So I suppose what I would be interested in from the channel would be anything associated with touring with a caravan, charging and associated infrastructure and how people cope in practise on road trips. I suspect a lot of viewers would be similar because I'm not aware of too many videos on the average ICE car that appear on RUclips, so once all EVs are old hat I suspect the demand will go down!
Tesla Aberdeen asked if I would do a video about towing. I do know a trailer I could borrow and they said they would set me up with a car that could tow. I just need to organise it...
@@justgetatesla You tuber Andrew Ditton has a lot on towing caravans. If you do, it's worth bearing in mind his comments that the Mass he tows makes less difference than aerodynamics to energy consumption. I'm not sure what you want to explore but coping with public charging maybe the most useful.
Your videosa on living with a Tesla Model Y over long distance travel, how easy charging is and how it fits into your journey meal stops gave me the confidence to "Just get a Tesla". I still enjoy the travel videos, bad weather, how the range holds up and the scenery. The software update video was well worth watching but as I was experiencing the software update myself wasn't a big draw for me.
I appreciate your real life experience with a Tesla instead of the anti EV or EVangelist channels. I may one day even own a Tesla! As for what is successful on RUclips it’s probably more to do with what they push on feeds rather than what we like. I watch them all.
I like the videos that are factual and will help me decide if a Tesla is for me. Costs Servicing Range Updates Etc I like your sense of humour I like the fact that you’re a normal bloke ( I think ) . I’m not a big fan of the touring videos Good luck
I found your videos whilst exploring what it might be like to actually do some long trips in an EV. I ended up not getting a Tesla (Elon, rather than car), but your videos gave me confidence that the general media fear mongering was unfounded.
Living without home charger for a week. You can easily put this into series of 7 videos. I didn’t find anything interesting about this on youtube especially in the UK. We can buy quite cheap used teslas now but a lot of people living in apartments, flats etc and can’t charge at home. I can’t wait to see YOUR videos about it. Video about cybertruck? I subscribed to your channel because you’re real and showing tesla as a real user and that’s why “prepared” videos do not suits your channel IMO.
Just keep doing what you, and I haven’t got a Tesla! Also I do between 180 - 250 miles a day in Cornwall, Devon, somerset . Is it practical to do if I buy a second hand Tesla Y? Look forward to your views 👍
Long story short: read all of the other positive and congrat vids. But I think the travel vids but actually the day to day experience doesn’t easily bore. I may even want to visit Scotland! Owww, not being a fulltime RUclipsr may actually be a good thing! And maybe somewhere in the future, stopping doing this might be a good idea anyway.
To be honest, your road trip videos are interesting, the Scottish landscape is breathtaking and the fact that it is in a normal Model Y is an added bonus. A Cybertruck is, at least for me, not interesting. It’s an ugly car that, as far as I am concerned, should never be allowed into the EU.😂
I think you need to keep faith with the Channel title. That is, why a Tesla is the best choice of EV as more EV choices come our way. Just seeing the view from your car is not that exciting as you could have been driving any EV or indeed any ICE car. The relevance is range, ease of charging, driving experience in different conditions, maintenance etc. ie why a Tesla ticks all the boxes and why it will continue to do so despite all the new choices of EV now available. How about seeing if Dave from Dave Takes it On wants to do a double header on Tesla and EV adoption generally. All those who were going to get an EV have done so. Consequently why should those unconvinced yet or not able to afford the current cost of acquisition ‘just get a Tesla’? How can they with a limited model choice in Tesla ( no small version yet) or afford even the cheapest M3 with high mileage and already 5 years old? Thanks for your investment though Ian and your unique style.
It’s taken a week to comment because … well that’s part of my answer: We got our Y around the same time as you. But we can’t park at or outside our house, and have a pre-school family. So we surf around ChargePlace Scotland chargers (we’re equidistant from Perth, Edinburgh and EuroCentral), and don’t get time to hang around in the car and play with it. (I’m in the car now, but a 4 year old is watching the screen) So why do I watch? I get a lot from your incidental comments; we needed new tires, and just got what you got because you explained how you’d researched them. And also updates and features, so that we actually make the effort to get on WiFi and do downloads. One or other of us does a long trip every so often, and your chat about charging spots and how the car reacts adds a layer of knowledge we’re wouldn’t otherwise have. Like hanging it with the Tesla Owners Club without, you know, actually doing that. I enjoy your pretty drives; I have to actually need to get to the other end to drive a nice road. And I knew your were taking the mick with the cyber truck click bait, but watched it any way. So I think I’m a niche case, but that’s why I watch. And yes o don’t particularly like looking like a facist, but he’s already got our money, and a Tesla is so much simpler for long trips than competitors. It might well be our ‘Volvo 740’ - keep it till it doesn’t go any more.
I can kinda understand the ‘non interest’(?) in the Crybertruck video… as we in the UK (generally) are not interested in these stupidly over large vehicles. Being from the very South i personally found your trip over the mountains in the snow to be a bit meh. What I’d like to see more of are some road trips (maybe with some family members just to get their views as well) but coming wayyyy down South to check out some of the (sometimes sparse) charging we have down here. Just saying 😊
For me its all about what tou said before... "am i gonna get a cibertruck... realisticly... no" Im intersted in problem solving tips. Dificulties you find in daily use and how to work around them" For instance, i apend huge amounts of time in the car parked... it only saves batery if i exit the car... how can i put it to off mode wirh me in it so i dont drain the 12v batery. Im using camping mode... it still is on... Another idea i need solutions on.... i hate to drive with the speed cruise control on... it brakes too much... i want to make it "less scared" of street shadows how can i do that? Thats the content i look for... Was that before i bought the tesla and is still qhat drives me on youtube
As a fellow Tesla owner I like to see the vids where you explain things that I can’t be bothered to go through, the software updates being a good example. Others I watch for the scenery and infrastructure but only because you pop up. I wouldn’t search for it. Drop the political stuff especially you’re a graudian cult Lib Dem type. It’s just a distraction from the core message. Oh the enthusiasm is quite infectious as well.
Sorry mate I like your channel but I'm going to unsubscribe because Elon Musk is now giving 45 million dollars a month to re-elect Donald Trump a fascist climate denier. So for me it's "just don't get a Tesla.. Cheers
I too most like watching a tour through beautiful country which is being commented on by a happy driver who has business to attend to along the way.
fully agreed you are mixing infos on Tesla with very nice panorama of your beatiful country cheers from Italy
Travel videos are the ones I enjoy the most but I like the diversity as well
Dispelling the myth of longer journeys in a Tesla is key.
I like your travel videos! You blend the unique beautiful Scottish landscape and how easy it is doing it in a Tesla.
Oh, I agree completely. Great video!
Absolutely love your channel….. for me road trips all day long. Keep it up and here’s to the next million!
You always manage to include something different but
interesting to your Tesla viewers.
I like all your videos especially the road trip and experience with charging in different areas of the country. Thank you for all your efforts.
I'll be honest, I love your sarcastic answers to the ppl spreading FUD. Cannot wait for your video compilation with your answers :P
Been subscribed since your first video mate. Been enjoying watching the channel grow. Keep up the good work and congrats on such a big milestone.
Congratulations
Congratulations Ian, keep up the great work 🚘⚡️👍
I started watching your channel a year ago because I was thinking about buying an EV.
Don't forget what you are providing here.... time!
You provide time to us in two ways:
- You SAVE us time by researching Tesla news, consolidating info, running us through Tesla updates so we don't have to read them, testing products so we don't waste our money etc.
Congratulations, thank you, and in case you’re curious: watching from Connecticut, US. 😊😘
Hi Ian
Many congratulations on the millions views!!
I have been with you since the very beginning and still love the channel 👍👍
I particularly like the wrong road trip content as it helps keep up to date with superchargers development and news
By the way, but the bullet this week and am reading in the 21 M3 for a Y !!
Well done. Great channel, really enjoy watching it weekly.
Congratulations Ian
Let's get you up to 10K subscribers :)
Well done. You deserve the fame!
Love the travel videos, maybe a day in the life of Ian, how does the Tesla revolve around your job.
I appreciate your real life experience with a Tesla instead of the anti EV or EVangelist channels. I may one day even own a Tesla! As for what is successful on RUclips it’s probably more to do with what they push on feeds rather than what we like. I watch them all.
Felicitaciones
Given all your new equipment, maybe you could start a “Just Buy an Apple” channel …
I like the videos that are factual and will help me decide if a Tesla is for me.
Costs
Servicing
Range
Updates
Etc
I like your sense of humour
I like the fact that you’re a normal bloke ( I think ) .
I’m not a big fan of the touring videos
Good luck
Fair play
Just keep doing what you, and I haven’t got a Tesla!
Also I do between 180 - 250 miles a day in Cornwall, Devon, somerset . Is it practical to do if I buy a second hand Tesla Y?
Look forward to your views
👍
You may need a top up charge…
Well done 🎉
It’s taken a week to comment because … well that’s part of my answer:
We got our Y around the same time as you. But we can’t park at or outside our house, and have a pre-school family.
So we surf around ChargePlace Scotland chargers (we’re equidistant from Perth, Edinburgh and EuroCentral), and don’t get time to hang around in the car and play with it. (I’m in the car now, but a 4 year old is watching the screen)
So why do I watch?
PS, does a 15pro max fit the Tesla wireless charging pad?
Yes sir!
You've done well to get to 7k on the basis of 'Just get a Tesla'. Let's be honest though.........it had limited legs!!
Indeed. The best selling car in the world last year. Nobody wants one…
P.s everyone the Model Y is now available 0% finance
I can kinda understand the ‘non interest’(?) in the Crybertruck video… as we in the UK (generally) are not interested in these stupidly over large vehicles. Being from the very South i personally found your trip over the mountains in the snow to be a bit meh. What I’d like to see more of are some road trips (maybe with some family members just to get their views as well) but coming wayyyy down South to check out some of the (sometimes sparse) charging we have down here. Just saying 😊
For me its all about what tou said before... "am i gonna get a cibertruck... realisticly... no"
Im intersted in problem solving tips. Dificulties you find in daily use and how to work around them"
For instance, i apend huge amounts of time in the car parked... it only saves batery if i exit the car... how can i put it to off mode wirh me in it so i dont drain the 12v batery.
Congrats Ian!! 🫶🥂
Do you call this video content?
Depends whether you call that a comment
Sorry mate I like your channel but I'm going to unsubscribe because Elon Musk is now giving 45 million dollars a month to re-elect Donald Trump a fascist climate denier. So for me it's "just don't get a Tesla.. Cheers
I hear you. The Lord Elon is an arse
Congratulations
