Another great episode👍. The Jaguar is a S-type, and the majority of the vehicles involved in the chase were part of 99 Cars action fleet (including the Range Rove) , minus their usual Police mock-up identities. Also, you get a glimpse of Alan Stuart as he takes the Range Rover from Callan at the end of the mission. Great stuff, cheers.
The days of proper strong SHOES 👞 😊 , I remember my father constantly looking at shoes in shop windows on a Sunday 70s , saying "nice pair of brogues or hush puppies" 😅 🇬🇧 before we turned into a 🚽
I'm trying to recall something I read from probably 45 years ago, but I'm sure there was an article in 'Motor' magazine, about a stunt man who had perfected the art of being thrown through a toughened glass windscreen without serious injury (something about knowing exactly which part of the nose to hit it with!), and this stunt being used to extol the virtues of wearing seat belts. Was that Joe Wadham?
Edward Woodwood bought a grandfather clock off my dad once. Wasn't the friendliest man. His wife then followed him into the shop and his wife was Betty from Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em. Quite surreal. She was also not that smiley and not the type to respond well to an animated Frank Spencer impression, no matter how much effort I put in. So I left them well alone.
Very sensible decision, Ben. I don't think you'll find very many actors who enjoy having scripts or characters regurgitated at them. Wilfrid Brambell was driven nearly demented by people bawling "you DIRTY old man!" at him.
