I heard a similar story 30 years ago when I was in high school about MJ, but I there was no Social Media and people were afraid of media retaliation. I’m sorry this happened to chamillionaire he seems like a good guy.
For real. The kind of people that make it to the top definitely have some crazy in them, which is part of why they were driven enough to make it like that. Best not to get too personal with your idols I guess.
Lebron is a much nicer guy when it comes to autographs idk and also in general. If u wanted a pic or autograph from him the worst he would say is No which he always does Lol
Deion Sanders did me this exact same way when I was in college. I was working at this comedy club and one of the officers asked me to get his autograph for his son. He was divorced and he kept a tablet of all the celebrities autographs who came through. He was gonna give it to his son as a Christmas gift. I brought the tablet up to Deion and HE BLEW UP ON ME LIKE THE FOURTH OF JULY!!! Sooo arrogant and rejectful and narcissistic. He’s a very mean man no matter what he portrays on tv so I can believe everything you say
I have a great deal of respect for the genuine humility that Chamillionare expressed The same thing happened to me with Scottie Pippen I was so hurt and embarrassed that I almost reacted as ignorantly as I was treated Thank GOD The other celebrities treated me to personal memorabilia because they felt so bad for me. It was the only reason I didn't go Chernobyl!
Dikembe Mutombo surprised me one day at the ATL airport. I'm 6'2" and walking along and out of nowhere somebody much taller than me is walking next to me. I look over and up and it's him. We ended up on the same flight and I got to shake his hand. Cool dude. Didn't know this about Jordan. Good story. ... J
Chamillionaire seems like a stand up guy. I would never ask him for his autograph if I saw him, but I would give him a high five and tell him that he's one hell of a story teller.
There are many people who owe Jeff Van Gundy an engraved apology. Years ago he said that Michael Jordan was a charlatan. That Michael wasn't the "great guy" that the media, movies, etc. portrayed him to be. That same media launched a campaign against Van Gundy. Since then it's came to light many times over that he was correct all along. Since that Hall Of Fame fiasco I pretty much deemed him a total douchebag and he's proven it correct ever since.
Yeah what Jeff Van Gundy said was COMPLETELY true. The media made him out to be "michael Jordan, the best basketball player!!" And he looked pretty clean and amazing. When in reality he's a complete asshole, and just cares about destroying his opponents. I hate that man, I hate how the NBA was pretty much under his hand, and they portrayed him as being pretty much a good guy. When HES NOT AT ALL. It's nice to know we have good genuine people in the league now, like LeBron and Kevin Durant!
And for the record I just want to say, if there are any LeBron haters reading thru this comment, he got a BAD wrap in his first year with the heat he didn't deserve that at all. He's really a genuine guy. I mean come on, he's never done anything bad all this time he's been in the league.
+Pernell Babineaux Jordan is the best basketball player ever, but he is possibly the worst person off the court out of any player that has played in the NBA.
Man you gotta understand. Since 84 almost everyone that has approached him has asked for something. Imagine living that kind of life for 40 years. You'd be batshit crazy after 2 months. At his prime, he was the most visible athlete to walk the Earth and everyone wanted to "be like Mike". I can't really blame him. Fame ain't even worth it
@@blakswizzy I can blame him. There are plenty of people who are famous as well and potentially even more famous than Jordan that don’t act like this. Michael Jackson, Messi, Ali, etc. He deserves blame for his actions and not blind defense for them.
Yeah, I know Ray Allen pretty well and not surprised he took pictures. He is probably the must humble person that has played in the NBA. I'm not exaggerating. He is just a very down to earth guy and its funny if you didn't know he played in the NBA you would think he was just a regular guy that changes oil or something.
@shatnerhasselhoff that is really cool guys. Im not a basketball fan as I grew up watching hockey but I appreciate those who bring class to any sport. Thanks for sharing this story. It reminds me of the class that Mohammed Ali brought to boxing. Confidence but class.
+Jay Brick Yo, this is old news. I was at the Hilton's one night, and Jordon closed down the buffet just for HIMSELF.... what? You can't just order up room service like every other celebrity?
L Barrera LOLOLOL Your going to boycott jordans? Yull loose so bad man jordans is selling more then nike and nike have different brand shoes and Jordan is one company and he still sells more and makes more then nike and hes a billionaire now
Michael Jordan is one of the greatest basketball players of all time. He's a horrible human being, unfaithful, arrogant, degenerate gambler. He has a god complex And needs to check himself. Yet he's profiting off stupid people who spend all their money on his ugly shoes.
Met Lou Williams last year at Kroger out here in Duluth (Lou’s actually from the area, played for the rival high school to mine), and he was by himself. Brotha was on the phone, pandemic had just started, and I was in the middle of working so I was prolly lookin all disheveled 😂 but I walked up to him by the entrance and I said somethin to the effect of “Yo Lou Will, welcome home man!” He turns, puts his phone in his pocket, daps me up and says “thanks homie, I been home about 3 days.” Coolest dude. Needless to say, it don’t cost you shit to be a decent human being. Fuck MJ 😂
Michael jordan came to my high school in 2000 (Eastern Senior HS in wash. Dc) spoke on stage for about 2 minutes and then left. No pics,no autographs. We all got jordan tshirts all large sizes. If u wasnt large size,u were out of luck. He was my Idol too up until that day
+chanmjohn I can never understand why ppl line up for them, the same shoe releases all the time just different colours or the same colour different year, I haven't bought Jordans a few years now prob won't either Reebok, Adidas, Supras and other sneaker brands have better sneakers anyways
i am so sorry that happened to you. I watched him play on tv with my young son towards the end of jordans career and we both saw how he treated people. then we watched his hall of fame speech and the things he was saying about people, the man has issues, he still does .. i especially felt bad for his children, even they were not left out of it... you stayed classy, i'm proud of you.
i can honestly see jordan doing this. Just research everything he's done throughout his career and after he's always been arrogant asf and this just confirms it
Broke my heart when you said "hell nar I ain't taken no picture with no niggas" I believe you 💯 and i am I big Jordan fan ,he was gangster tripping that night
I had 2 heros when I was kid, MJ and Jeremy Roenick of the Blackhawks....I saw JR on the street last year and he was the complete opposite of MJ. He was on the phone, put down his phone got up and had a convo with me AND posed for a pic....love him even more now!
In the early 90's my cousin use to see Jordan at her job 2 or 3 times a month, he use to always hit on her and try to get her to go on a date with him, she even told him that she was married and pointed out that he was too, thirsty ass dude still tried to get her on a date for almost a year. Sleazy. Not surprised he's an ego maniac, people been boostin him for a long time.
This story was the nail in the coffin for Michael to me, I had already heard some bad stuff, but after this I was like, I am never going to buy anything even remotely associated with MJ ever again. Jordan's, Nike's, Hanes, and any other brands associated with him will never get a dime of my money ever again.
you know I never cared much for Jordan but I do buy some of his shoes and whatever because I appreciate Tinker Hatfield (the guy who designs his stuff)
First off even though I've heard of this guy, I knew nothing about him. Watching this video has caused me to respect this young man more than I could ever respect MJ. I was a huge NBA fan during the MJ era, even though the NY Knicks was always my team, I respected MJ's game. I never thought much about him as a person. I would imagine him as being a great ball player but ultimately a product of the south. I had an opportunity to meet John Starks a few years back and he was more than happy to take a picture with me. But Stephen Smith looked at us like we were the scum of the earth. Why? Because your a celebrity? Some guys have been brainwashed into hating their own color, probably the reason they often marry white women.
Thanks for sharing! Man to get in that one shot would have been great. It would have been the perfect hit. I get it. Way to take the high road because MJ likes to fight and he would of definitely gotten a beat down. The good news the pen is mightier than the sword. I think Chamillionaire should turn this into a song. I'll buy it. Keep on pushing the envelop with the music. Lastly I'm glad he went up and faced him for something he wanted. Life isn't about not taking chances. Someone once said he missed 100% of the shots he didn't take.
I feel so damn bad for Cham here :( I grew up on the south side of Chicago, I saw Mike play in person when my dad took me and my brother to a Bulls game once. Never met the dude or anything. But his reign in the 90s, that was something incredible to be a part of, especially living in Chicago at the time. We'd drive past his house all the time, the one with the big gate with the golden 23 on the front. It's unfortunate finding out all the negative shit about him over the years. You would think somebody of his status would never act this way...He must have some sorta bitterness or hatred in his heart towards people in general for some reason.
+Richmond Ekiye bruh u did not watch NBA then back in the jordan era. everyone cursed on the court. the maddest shit talk, only one left in the association like that is like kevin garnett
Richmond Ekiye lol mj said nigga 😂... What world you live in.. As black as MJ is? /come on cuz and from Carolinas... Come on don't let his brand and the media deceive how you perceive him...he still black. Maybe not a lot., but for sure he said it.
when he was in DC he had real bad ppl skills a homeless man asked him for money for food his reply was if he can stand then he can work,,his team members said he is the worst person to play with
Here we are 13 years after this video was posted and there still is not one single positive story about Jordan floating around. In fact his image may have gotten worse
Thats why i love players like lebrone James Steph Curry and the new comers breaking records helping to make a young generation forget he even exsisted. Money is his God and money will be his end
@@_Gwuaponeither are the GOAT dummy and Lebron’s just as arrogant to fans in public as MJ. He’s just even more slick about it. He refused to meet with the Undertaker before a Cavs game in 2016. Shows how arrogant he’s thinking he’s bigger than him.

MAD RESPECT.
I'm one of Chamillionaires fans now.
What did Deion say?
Damn I feel so sorry for what happened. Poor guy it's nice to see he's found happiness in his life he seems chill about it now.
I have a great deal of respect for the genuine humility that Chamillionare expressed
The same thing happened to me with Scottie Pippen
I was so hurt and embarrassed that I almost reacted as ignorantly as I was treated
Thank GOD
The other celebrities treated me to personal memorabilia because they felt so bad for me.
It was the only reason I didn't go Chernobyl!

He ain’t lying!!! I met Jordan in a club in Philly called Gotham and he was rude as hell. Even his goons that worked for him said he was a a-hole.

Man you gotta understand. Since 84 almost everyone that has approached him has asked for something. Imagine living that kind of life for 40 years. You'd be batshit crazy after 2 months.

Sometimes, Celebrities can forget the people who helped make them rich and famous.
...themselves 🤡🎯
...thats not the point, lol
I came back to revisit this after watching The Last Dance documentary lol.

The way he told the story was so down to earth... Don’t let fame get to your heads famous people, that’s how you gain respect...

I think he was bullied at school... I've seen several reports that say Michael is a very strange person
