Genshin Impact player here. 40 Primogems is horrible. that is 0.25 of a pull (about 50 cents worth), and for reference it takes anywhere up to 170 or so pulls to get the character you're looking for. The main draw is supposed to be the glider skin and the namecard, which are simply cosmetics, but only obtainable through this specific promotion. The golden apple pastry can also be considered cosmetic. It's a consumable item that doesn't do much different from others in the game, but I guess you can show off that yours looks different..?

4:18 It very much matters. Paying for an advantage (not that this seems to be one as someone else said) is a slippery slope and you can check out RE4 2023 to see where something like that can lead. Both Genshit and Macca's suck. Haven't had a burger from them in 6+ years and the last time I was there in person, sitting down, was like a decade ago. Horrible prices, same as Genshin.
