- This took soo long to make but it's finally here. After months of assassinating in Firefight and dealing with theater messing up all the time, I finally made it :')
So if you wanted a more detailed look at firefight assassinations in slow motion, you're at the right place

Thinking how much strength need to puncture alien skin, throw them to the floor, to quite literally break the ankles of a hulking menacing synthetic humanoid really puts into perspective how powerful Spartans are.

I'm just marveling at those facts on how powerful they are. It really makes the player feel like a total badass, bungie really did well with the idea of Spartans.
The best part is, these aren't even the strongest variant of spartan

One of the Jackals has it trying to claw back, and virtually every Promethan attempts to fight back in most animations.
Was thinking the exact same thing. And that person is right, it's kinda sad but also really cool to see the npc's fighting back, makes it seem a lot realer and more impressive.

I feel bad for the crawler that bites the Spartan's arm. It just wanted to play...
No matter how bad people think Halo 5 is, we cannot deny that they really put work into this game. Almost every weapon in the series + multiple variants of each, hundreds of armor pieces, pre-game cutscenes (Warzone) that really make it feel like your Spartan is getting deployed, and tons of assassinations for PvE and PvP.
If Infinite had even half of this effort it’d be one of the best Halo games ever.
That’s why H5 is my favourite of the bunch! It feels the most like an actual Arcade, given the enormous sandbox and new mechanics to play with in the Halo environment.
All the different assassinations were so much fun especially in Warzone Firefight… my favourite game mode of all the games!
Dont forget that most of these werent, alongside many gamemodes and working features werent there during launch.
And ofc the monetization :D
The spartan knife, more deadly then any weapon
Thin enough to cut through shields easily
Canonically they're strong enough to penetrate mjornir armor and even the hull of a spaceship, special spartan knifes are quite something
They're laminated titanium tungsten alloy is memory serves, combine that with the insane strength of a Spartan in their armour, along with the fact that it's small size and low speed allows it tk bypass most shield tech, no wonder it's a formidable weapon, but also, if you pay attention, they're used only in CQC to strike at vital areas or gaps in the armour, as a knife is meant to be used, so yeah, it's mo wonder it's so effective when it's being used properly by a goddammit super soldier
It's so hard to think about painful these assassinations really are especially the one where the spartan jumps onto the soldier and rips the soldier's arm off while fighting back against the spartan and stabs, and stabs, and stabs the soldier until it finally disintegrates into nothing.
Hypothetically though.
One of the promeathian soldier lines state that they have pain receptors or something

Also, 343 deserves credit for programming all of these, and they all look super clean and polished. They look better than Gears 5's executions, which is a game that came our 4 years after this
There needs to be a Grunt Mech Assassination and a hunter Assassination, those 2 would look badass
Think: You jump on the grunt mech, destroy the shield protecting the grunt, toss in a grenade, and watch the fireworks... :)
Or jump on the back and stuff a plasma grenade in the core.
I believe that would be a hijack. Although, that sounds cool.

Grunt mechanical idea-,
You run around the mechanism as it tries to slam you with its free hand,you rip out one of the needles from the Mega Needlers and impale the grunt with it.

You can, you don't have a very long window though. Right near his death where he glows more than normal you get a brief chance to do it.

the way the soldiers fought back made them feel so human, which makes as they used to be human, but to see them retaining such instinct is very fascinating

I know I'm a bit late, but soldiers were never human, only knights were. Soldiers are very much like sentinels in that they are just machines.

@@FallenAngel8742 Actually, no. I've seen and performed the assassinations on Covenant species from Reach to Halo 4 to Halo 5: from grunts to elites, the assassinations are unique to Halo 4-5. I used to be obsessed with the assassination system so I could spot similarities and differences right away.

The grunts were actually forced into fighting or their planet would get glassed. It was glassed when they refused and then finally they complied and joined the covenant.

The actual sound of the knife going in or whatever is so unsatisfying. Remember in Reach when it would have the sound of the shields breaking and the knife coming out of the steel armor?
