- With the release of their new record #FlipPhoneFantasy mere moments away, we hit Utopia Records with Dale and Twiggy from Ocean Grove to learn about the albums that mean the most to them, from Rage Against The Machine and Faith No More to Björk and Kate Bush.

I LOVE OG !
Honestly? I was expecting Ocean Grove to pick out -a little bit more- *A LOT more* wave 1-3 nu metal records (Incubus, Sugar Ray, Apex Theory, Alien Ant Farm, etc.) The influence is WAY more present on Ocean Grove from those artists, imo.
I'm a tad disappointed all we got was just an over-abundance of Faith No More, and for some reason, Rage Against The Machine? (Don't hear the influence Dale, lmao.)
Pretty much just shit we already hear way too much about, imo. Like, who cares? Mr. Bungle (Mike Patton's side project) would've been more interesting to discuss than two straight FNM records.
Anyway, I did catch Hybrid Theory & Significant Other get thrown in the mix; *a little salty that no air-time was given for either of them to speak about those records... Cameos? Seriously, wtf?*
Oh well. I'm just gonna blame Utopia Records for seemingly not having a quality selection of nu metal. That's the only feasible explanation I can make out, seeing as these selections were quite, bland.
Hahahahahahahahahaha seriously????? You'd rather have them be influenced by Linkin Park than Faith no More? It's sarcasm right?? Please say it's sarcasm...
@@joshualee3163 It's not about who you'd "rather have them be influenced by", it's about who they ARE influenced by, judging by their sound.
Maybe they felt like nu metal had such a bad reputation that they wanted to play it a little bit cooler. But it's obvious that they did NOT pick the bands that impacted on their sound the most, who knows why.
dude who cares man, they are more than their band
