I remember when they where relevant and I believe that was the “all you can’t leave behind” album. I must say “Spider-Man turn off the dark” soundtrack had glimpses of u2 of old. U2 are best when they are alternative ie “Passengers” album. Commercial u2 sound like a poor mans coldplay....
adjust your listening. Coldplay will never equal U2 live. I like Coldplay but they peaked with their second album. Didn't like Xylo one at all but did like the ghost stories. Plus Chris Martin comes a poor second to Bono when it comes to singing on albums and live. Doubt Coldplay will be selling out arenas 30+ years after forming. Just been to the e+i show at Manchester arena ( first night) and they are still awesome live. They have the arena show nailed. Much rather see them there than a huge stadium.
