It's been a couple months since the S20 line was released. I've used the S20 Plus for most of that time and I have to say, this is an excellent phone that I've enjoyed a lot and I can definitely recommend it..... as long as buyers are willing to drop $1,200 on one....yeah... However, with the trend of Samsung phones dropping in price, finding this phone under $1K shouldn't be too difficult online, in fact, I've seen a few Swappa listings for brand new, unlocked S20 Plus' for under $900. It's at that point that I can confidently say this phone checks more than enough boxes (with specs, power, performance, good biometrics, nice speakers, and a great set of cameras to top it off) to deserve two big thumbs up from me.

@@anmol3457 Slow ??mine is working perfectly fine as new . No issues. Before this device I have had used Samsung s8 for almost 2 years and it is till now a great device

Just ordered my galaxy s20 plus coming this Monday
I have S20 Ultra and boy that last May update bring the camera to another level. HDR is much better now in 12MP mode with better controlled noise in dark area, indoor low light improved a lot that it is now able to capture skin freckles and shirt detail in ISO 1000+. This is like using different phone that I bought in the beginning, that I think DXOMark should update their score 😂
Ultra 16GB Ram performed worse than IPhone SE 2020 3GB Ram 😂 in other video. Samsung pushes numbers and lack quality. Loaded with junk

I got the ultra 2 days ago its definitely a beast especially the display the battery so far has gotten me through a full day and then some and that's with the 120hz display
What is difference between the ultra and the plus
After seeing the new Note, the S20+ seems to be the sweet spot of the year.

1, Does the ultra wide camera has auto focus ? Shoot an object around 1.5 meter, see if it in focus or not ?
2, Does the ultra wide camera has 10 minutes limitation when it shoot 4K 30FPS video ?
3, Does the camera use continuous AE/AF when shooting photo/Video ?
Was waiting for your review on this phone, and it was definitely worth the wait. Now I have enough information about the phone to decide whether to buy it or not

Love it as well. But really hoping they release that software upgrade they mentioned at CES for the 120hz quad HD! As you mentioned, battery life is not an issue and I could live with less battery life as long as I have the option to switch over.
Great great video. I just bought my S20 + 5g at Best Buy (at a $600 discount) ... YES $600 discount, so paid just $600 for this great phone. I wanted the case & all accessories before I started using it, so installing the SIM card as we speak. I've been a Samsung phone user forever, & had a Note 5 & Note 8. I am sure I'll be thrilled with this phone.
Samsung galaxy S20+ is one hell of a phone.
It is lovable in many ways. I'm note user and currently using the Note 10 plus which is a beast.
Can't wait to see the Note 20+ later this year ^_^
This has been my favorite phone ever. It felt like a significant upgrade over them all. I've had every galaxy S line. The 12 gigs of ram is incredibly useful. The screen and CPU feel light years ahead of last year. The best phone ever

What exactly do you need 12GB of RAM for today? You don't get a ton of improvement after the 6GB threshold and improvements are really thin past 8GB of RAM, that's why I'm asking.

@@mike216ism Because RAM needs power, which eats into battery life. By the time you'll need 12GB of RAM, Samsung won't provide the OS updates and you'd have to get another phone. Another $1200 phone.
Regardless of how much money you make, I think we could both agree it doesn't hurt to have more money in your pocket.

I have an S20 Plus phone and have had it for about 2 months and it has been good for this length of time so far and I just needed to use it for making calls and occasionally using it for internet usage. My sister used the camera to take a photo of me, but I have not used that feature as I already have two good photo and video cameras for that. I am still learning some of the phone's features and may do more with it once I learn more about it.
The galaxy s20 is an awesome device. I hope to pick up one in the near future.
What launcher do you use? And does it work with navigation gestures? Thanks
And yes, 120 Hz refresh rate would be great for smoothness, games, videos, and just daily usage...

I'm watching this on the Samsung Galaxy s7 active...so, YES I'm wanting the s10 plus
For me the fingerprint sensor on this phone is perfect and I've never had any problems with it. When I turned off *fingerprint animation when unlocking* through settings it unlocks extremely fast. All in all this phone is amazing!
Zach and other RUclipsrs, I have a question, I know most prefer dark mode cause it's lighter to the eyes at night, but do you guys turn off dark mode for videos? White looks better in videos IMO

Within the past week, I have just upgraded from the LG V30 to this phone and don't find it that much larger. The user environment is slightly different but I am quickly adapting. I haven't found anything to dislike about it yet and I am using more things with this phone than I did on the LG.
I have the regular s20 and I have been surprised by the battery life. Great phone all around.
i paid for the s20+ eu version and honestly dont know if i am happy with the battery life- given the price i expected more /using it with 60hz fhd and app management/ and also i have some real problems with 64mpx focusing and it drives me crazy I honestly regret buying this phone

The 3D scanner for busts is pretty awesome. I was impressed with the 3D print I was able to do of myself.
Just waiting for my s20 plus to be delivered now. Had I phones for well over 10 years and coming from the Xs max now.

It's been good. Some reason my app switcher drops the running apps at times.
Just want to remind everyone that a 5g phone doesn't mean you have millimeter wave on it. S20 doesn't have it. S20+ and ultra have it.
Verizon phones have millimeter wave because they don't have low or mid band 5g.
I got up to 300mb down and 40 up near the millimeter wave tower.

Fingerprint reader was such a drag on one of the fastest phones out right now, like the thing you have to do to get into the phone to experience that "quickness" is dreadfully slow. I wish they went the pixel route to unlock their phones.

He Use Launcher or Themes, You can download any launcher or theme you want from Google play store. you can change everything, but it only works on android phones.

Has the auto focus gotten any better. Read a lot of reviews initially that say the auto focus is junk What about the stabilization. I'll be vlogging so I need that to work as well as the stab.

Agree, that's what I thought before clicking this video. most people on the market could only get Exynos. with this price tag, the Exynos can't justify the same overall performance to the Snapdragon. at least for me, I DO NOT want a 1000$ phone that can only do low frame rate in games and heating my hands or my leg, plus it drains battery like crazy. I expect at least 8hours for Normal use in a single charge, but it gives me 6.... very 6
The Exynos version has improved with the May update, maintains 60fps while gaming. Battery life seems better to at 120hz, overall feels a little faster.
Using the S20+ with SD for a week now and I'm very happy...came from the S10 ,(SD Version) and it is an upgrade, man I love those 120 Hz...

I'm have the reguler s20 & I've got this phone with a trade in program & some cashback on my country so I get with a half price.. it's really worth the money, I'm actually interested in 120Hz, since it Samsung it should have the greatest display in the world = really satisfiying.
Didn't thing that the camera it would be that good, turn out it's good plus the addition night mode, they really catching up with other vendors.

As of right now the S20+ and OnePlus 8 Pro are the exact same price on Amazon (£899 UK) so which one do you buy with your own money? Bearing in mind in the UK we get Exynos from Samsung but Snapdragon 865 from OnePlus. I've never had an Oxygen O/S device yet but sounds like that alone is worth the switch.

That's great to hear! I'm rn debating whether to make the switch to the S20+. Like, do you find the corners too sharp? Or uncomfortable to hold?
The reason I'm asking this is because I'm switching over from a Pixel 1 (Really rounded corners) to perhaps an S20+? So I would like some input regarding the corner difference. Would I be fine with it, or should I go with another phone with more rounded corners?

You'll be fine if you find it uncomfortable use a case I sometimes use my case for protection but I love it out the case lol I have small hands but no it's not uncomfortable I'm sure it's different for everybody,I switched from the Galaxy A20 I love both but the S20 Plus is better idk if this helps sorry if it didn't but you'll love it!! 💯😊
@@authorised_creature it's kinda hard taking selfies and pictures without the case tho but you'll love it! I say go for it, or go for something you feel will be more comfortable up to you or ask around ask someone who had it longer
@@keyishawilliams2188 That's good to know. I also had an LG stylo 5, which looks pretty similar to the A20's shape. And in the beginning, I did find the sharper corners on the LG stylo.. different. But I got used to them; so I think I'll go try it out. Thanks for the info, I found it helpful 🙂👍
@@keyishawilliams2188 I will be using a case on it pretty much 24/7. So I'll be alright in that area. But yeah, I'm going for it, and if it doesn't work out; the V50 is another option.
Funny how people outside of the US, cant relate to this because of Exynos LMAO
I've had the Exynos S20+ for over a month and haven't had any issues. I was watching videos on the Snapdragon vs Exynos for about 6 weeks prior so was reconsidering, but the phone doesn't get hot when playing games and no performance issues. It seems those differences only show in synthetic tests, not real world.
My Exynos works flawless!!

I got the Aura Blue version from Best Buy with an instant $300 discount and another $150 in Verizon service credits on a 0% payment plan. I know there may be and will be better deals, but given that this is the phone I wanted, a service plan I was going to pick up anyway, and that I'm coming away with this beauty for $750 and change when all is said and done - I'm a very happy camper with a phone that has actually exceeded my expectations.
Oh boy, it feels like i have to get this one, but where i live it's extremely pricey. I know i'll be fine with the S10+ from last year, just waiting for the next price drop around november.

I'm considering getting one of these after my s9 kicked the bucket. I'd miss the rear fingerprint scanner, although I was not impressed with it on my s9. It was never reliable, but for a long time now the coating on it has been flaking off, leaving it all but useless.
How is that 120 Hz refresh at QHD resolution? Any of the cameras consistently yet?
