The devil was once the greatest of all angels. Imagine how an angel closest to God can hate God. It's not about the devil that God concern's himself about but rather a question of our choice to love God and a reflection thereof it in the way we love his creation. God could have chosen not to create the devil but in so doing we found salvation.

Whom shall I fear? The first verse was misquoted. Jesus was directing us to fear God, who has the power to destroy our body and cast our soul into the eternal fire.
It's obvious, vigilance and self-honesty are power. But, many want it so easy that they do not admit it. Gloss over the genuinely obvious like that, and you are genuinely dead. I understand Father Anthony, but the details of that understanding are individual for me. Which is as it should be, I know. Like you said: "We wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities."
I feel like this father needs to meditate on / talk about the fallen nature of mankind. He seems to fall into the same trap he says to avoid - blaming the devil for everything. Maybe satan is involved in some instances of the examples he mentions, but I don't think any of those instances would require anything beyond man's fallen nature.
God bless you
Christ has Risen!

how can he as an Coptic Egyptian priest say " we went to Iraq and destroyed everything" and support a fouls war that took millions of inocent lives?
+2paacalipse he is stating a fact and using it as an example , how can you know what he feels about the war in iraq.
