Another great video by Tyler - thanks! RE: Audrey Lowry: She had a 21-3 record, a 0.470 ERA, and 306 strikeouts while allowing only 10 walks in 163.2 innings. At the plate, she hit .551 with 41 RBI. Just imagine how dangerous she can become under the tutelage of Coach Gasso and crew.
306 Ks to just 10 BB... is insanely great. That's 30.6 strikeouts for every walk! 13.1 Ks per 7 IP.. 0.43 BB per 7 IP. Really looking forward to seeing what her "stuff" looks like in person.
Agree 100% most likely they will be in the top 10% in home runs this year. You cannot equate it to alo Jennings’s burrito, Hansen those are generational players!!! However, the upside of all this is they have the opportunity through the program to stand alongside those great players through the development that is the best in the nation!!! For instants with all those other players, came on his freshman nobody knew or understood the heights that they were grow to. This group of freshmen, redshirt, freshman, and sophomores can make the same statement. They know what the expectations of the program are. Most importantly, they know the expectations for themselves, a.k.a. their truth!!!
Incredibly well said! Great power numbers shouldn’t be judged by teams 2-3 years ago. Those numbers were historic. They’ll have enough power. And maybe even more than most people think.
To be able to get in the lineup consistently as a freshman on last year's team is insane. And they both did it. Truly believe both will be All-Americans.
@@tylermccomas3385 Last fall was what I based my statement on.She was the best player on the field playing amongst the legends so I know the talent is there. She’s a five tool player with all the skills.
I'm very excited for the next season however what are the odds we get 5 straight I could see a small drop off and possibly making it to the semis maybe even the championship game but idk about a 5 straight but really hoping I'm wrong
In my estimation, if the sooners are going to win a fifth series championship, they will have to beat a very pissed off Florida Gators team. You could tell it's stung them last year when the sooners beat them in the semi finals, they just have to learn the cream always rises to the top along with the crimson. JMO but losing Jennings alone will likely cause an offensive drop off and then the other Seniors that we're lost there has to be a loss of offensive punch.
I think the talent is there to do it again. Some questions will have to be answered, but next May I think they'll be talented enough to do it. But can they be as clutch as the team's of the last four year? We'll see. Not going to be easy but I'll never doubt Patty.
@tylermccomas3385 oh no never doubt Patty she the softball equivalent of Nick Saban or Bob Stoops actually probably both combined and y does everyone seem surprised that her passed players that's turned coaches are doing so well she has a heck of a coaching tree
The Sooners lost probably the fastest lady on the team in Riley Boone. I know Mya Bland Is fast but she was on the team last year. The sooners lost a lot of offensive punch however you want to slice it. Losing Jennings, Jayda, Riley and K 9 and Brito will be very tough to replace. They were probably responsible for half of the Sooners offense And then theres all they're defensive talent. It was good you didn't mention the coaching as good as they are because they are a constant and have been for years thankfully so. I expect Parker and Pickering to be the sweet spot of the offense in 2025. And from there we'll just have to see. j m o. As far as the pitching; take away, Kelly Maxwell for the 2024 season and the Sooners would have been in trouble and we don't have a Kelley Maxwell so far this year. Nicole May did great when she was on, but she did have a struggle or two, which is perfectly normal. Coach Gasso has said the twenty twenty fourteen could pretty much coach themselves. One thing is quite certain if the 2025 team is going to be as successful as last year's there will be much more hands-on coaching.
They lose a lot. There's no doubt. And an Ace needs to emerge, but I think this will be a team that looks a LOT different from February to March. And that's exciting. I really think you'll see a team that grows and gets considerably better throughout the season. Set backs will happen, sure, but it's all about playing your best softball at the right time.
Monticello's big and strong and could certainly become a force to be reckoned with if she can get her strike zone down and becoming more consistent with her pitching. If so - she could become a powerhouse. Let's hope.
A Lowry, will be the ace. Remember transfer Kerney, not needed. KDeal will be like NMay, fill in spots. This will be an off year for us…so we can get hungry again…Boomer!
Sanders how can you go from being a freshman of the year then come to ou and you cannot be consistent to save your life you need this summer lose weight JT need to focus on you being consistent I get so irritated when you come up to bed and you let good pitching go bye Parker and picky these two girls have passed you like you were just standing there we are going to need Sanders this year go home for the summer and let your dad work with you lose weight and get zoned in of being consistent ou Sanders you got to get better
Spot on as usual friend. Ella Parker could have a 20/20 season as could kasidi pickering.
Thanks man! Always appreciate you tuning in.
If JT can get Sanders on track to be more consistent she can be a great power hitter
Yeah I agree. I think she could be one of the better power hitters in the SEC if it all comes together for her.
Speed on the base path forces errors on the opposing defense

Thank you! Doing a video on all the true freshman this weekend with quotes from their HS coaches so those stats help.

@@aBeatleFan4ever Agreed - those are some insane numbers. And to think that Rocha could make her into an even better pitcher.
I think sweet Baby (Ella Parker) will be a problem this year!
Agree. A BIG problem. Just insane how good she was last year.
@@tylermccomas3385 You mean in a good way?
I think Ella Parker and Kassidy will be home run hitters, But if we can get on base and pass the bats thats sometimes better than homeruns.
Sanders Parker Pickering all hit over 20HR
That’s a prediction I really like.

Jen Rocha? No. She's still at OU and there was never even a rumor about her leaving.

Cassidy Pickering is that dudette so is Ella Parker. But Pickering is a special hitter.

5-peat. Oklahoma doesn't rebuild they reload
Accurate.
LFG!!!
LFG!!!!!
I see Hannah Coor as the best overall player on the team if she can get 100% healthy.
I just hope she can get back 100% healthy. She was excellent last fall.

Yes but the freshman pulled us out of some tight spots last year, plus Patty loves to coach now she gets to coach again.
Has anyone asked if OU softball is SEC ready? I didn't think so. Boomer
Has anyone asked the SEC if they're ready for OU Softball? They're coming!
Payton Monticello is a solid choice also buddy, regardless who our ace is I will be yelling loudly
I really think we’re going to see the best of Monticelli. Getting that big out against Texas was huge for her confidence.
