Hiking The Romanian Sphinx | A Cinematic Short Film

On 4th of September 2023 we hiked for The Romanian Sphinx, on a seemingly sunny day, which later turned out to be a windstorm on top of the Bucegi Mountains, in Romania.
We left the town in which we stayed, Busteni and drove up the mountain for about 45 minutes to reach the trail. From there we did about 1 hour and 30 minutes to the Sphinx. As we started to climb the wind got stronger and the temperature dropped bellow 0 degrees, even though sometimes It was sunny, I promise you it was not warm!
After that, we tried to conquer the Omu Peak, which is a 2 hour hike but we had to turn back because as you can see in the film, we were in no shape to continue, the wind was picking up and I believe there was maybe about -5 degrees, I am no expert.
After we arrived back to the cable car cabin, we drank some tea, ate biscuits and waited for the weather to calm down. In about 30 mins the sun was back up and we searched for a calm place to sit down and take in the views.
Finally, we left and ran to catch the train back home.
It was beautiful, extreme and in the same time relaxing, I loved it any moment of the hike, even when I couldn't feel my hands and feet. We were miserable! But we achieved something and the views too payed for our efforts.
