Yeah, the list is pretty disproportionate to the actual power of the militaries, like Russia who had millions of troops but still lost to the Japanese and Germans, also a lot of them were civilians recruited during a conflict and not actual military personnel.
@@adonisparts1343 They are millitary personnel, they were trained and got battle hardened, if you don't count that then 80% of a country's military force isn't there. Also the list isn't "disproportionate' it's just how it is.
@@Josephistry They don't necessarily have to be "trained and battle-hardened", the list just counts anybody who was in the army, that can be people who were drafted and received very little or no training at all, my point is that just because you have a larger army doesn't mean it's more powerful, it's definitely a contributing factor though. Also, I didn't say it was literally disproportionate, but that it didn't indicate the true power of the country's military.

This video is crap. The video you reacted to, I mean. These numbers are not "Size of Armies". They include the the number of men serving in Navies and Air Forces as well. So the title is completely misleading. Currently, the largest Army in the world is the Indian Army. Its not People's Liberation Army Ground Forces. Its not North Korean Army and it definitely is not US Army, which is puny in size (although well armed and trained).
@@death_parade lol do you really think it matters when countries have more soldiers to the US? at least everyone in our army is all volunteered and we dont need to rely on conscription in order to keep a sizeable army

@@alladaprudvi2111 Even you are wrong. Indian Army is currently the largest Army on the planet. "People's Liberation Army" is not Chinese Army, its the entire Chinese Armed Forces. People's Liberation Army Ground Forces (PLAGF) are currently about 1 million strong. Indian Army exceeds that size by more than 200,000 men.
@Yoel Christian Did you miss my usage of the word "currently" in my previous comment? Do you have a time machine using which you will bring US or USSR military from 1945 into 2020? No? Then how is your comment relevant? Forget US or USSR, off the top of my head, I remember that even the Wehrmacht had 200+ Divisions arrayed on the Soviet Front at the start of Op Barbarossa. That alone is much more than the 45 Divisions that make up the Indian Army today. Yet if these two were to fight today, the 45 Divisions of Indian Army would win hands down against the 200+ Divisions of the Wehrmacht. So what is the point of such a comparison again?
@Yoel Christian You are missing the point. My reply simply meant that there is no point comparing militaries from 1945 to militaries from 2020. My Wehrmacht example was to show you how ridiculous such a comparison is. Now please stop.
@Yoel Christian Oh FFS! 40mm Autocannons of today have APFSDS rounds that can penetrate the frontal armour of a Panther tank. Stronk my a$$.
