- This game is actually incredible. The sounds, the graphics, the historical attention to detail. From the locations to the weapons they have absolutely nailed it.
Also I have started streaming on twitch these days which is where I got the footage for this. Having friends along and the randomness of the gameplay made for something far more entertaining to watch I think.

The modeling is nice but the developers neglect armor a lot. The physics engine is broken, tank bugs are constantly arising, and a lot of tanks are missing viewports

Anyone who was stupid enough to suggest going down that single highway was failed on the spot - but of course the British never asked their Dutch colleagues any of this. Also, I absolutely love how you went behind enemy lines and managed to sneak up on an armored car, JUST for the purpose of confirming the accuracy of the cars.

One thing missing from the uniforms is that very often, given the heavy loads that paratroopers carried, they added pads made from blanket or other material for the M1936 packs and suspenders. The pack attaches with a clip onto a D ring at the shoulder designed such that if you have more than a pair of socks in the pack it digs into your shoulders. Later (Rhine crossing?) a set of M1936 suspenders with built in padding had been made available, but I am not sure how many got issued. Certainly there were a lot that didn't get issued.
I like how PS has a very very in depth test range that shows vehicles and weapons, but he chooses to go over things in a live game. It makes it 10x more hilarious that his squadmates are turning into mist and hes like hmmm yes those boots are perfect
I love Post Scriptum so much, I just wish it had more players
It's a really good game. I think Problem is that the team is to small, they can't focus for more on marketing, selling only on Steam with the established community can't make your company grow.

@@louisavondart9178 I don't think you got any idea what you are talking about. If the game crashes it must be your hardware. It does not crash on me. I don't know what bugs you mean. There have been issues (invisible grenades for example) after engine update 2 month ago but they got fixed. And death from nowhere is just not a thing. You probably just fail to understand what hit you because you are lacking experience.
Hell let loose is lightyears better anyway, and is super populated 247, I thought Post Scriptum was better, never got hell let loose, but wow I decided to and.... yeah, MILES better in every way.

This game is an absolute love letter to WW2 History Buffs, especially the tribute devs pay to make sure uniforms of the designated infantry section on that year on that map are accurate.
Love the consistent theme of 1940s vehicle crewmen just blasting EDM and JPop.
Kind of worth mentioning about the Garand's sight in HLL; It -used- to be modeled more correctly, but a lot of people complained about not being able to see. For gameplay consideration they widened the aperture. Though I'm pretty sure they also initially modeled it after a post-war M1, too, though there has been talk of redoing it.
41:00 Bren was very accurate for MG, so its pretty accurate if you rather use it as an assault rifle.
101st airbone always gets the spot. Damn, what about my boys at the 82nd? They were the ones who made more jumps than the 101st would ever dream off back in ww2.
there are quite a few maps with the 82nd in the game as well.
I mean they have a whole game to themselves but it is from medal of honor before the devs went to modern era because call of duty.
I dont know if you mentioned it, but the way you hold the 1911 is the correct grip at the time too. Commonly referred as the Bullseye stance

I love the music whenever there is a vehicle. Gets me every time.
On the Veghel map, if you check out grid A8 you can find a farm that is a recreation of the real life farm that stood there back in 1944. There's an aerial photo hanging on a wall inside of the house that shows an image of the real life farm as it was back during WW2 so you can compare the photograph to the farm in game.

A few things I noticed is that the us uniforms are of the m42 variety which was what all paratroopers wore during the Normandy campaign. M42 are distinguished by the od green reinforcements on the knees and elbow as well as the pockets. During market garden there was a large influx of new replacements to fill the ranks in the airborne units and they would
Have been issued the newer m43 uniform which a darker shaded than the iconic m42s. Also the airborne were not used BARs, it wasn’t under the TO&E.

Um akshually, this kind of peep sight doesn't look like that when you actually use the sights. The closest to real life look of the garand sights is from brothers in arms games where the rear peep gets sort of blurry and see through so it doesn't obstruct your vision as much. I've always hated how games make it hard to see anything when you use these types of irons.
Brothers in Arms uses a ADS model which blends 2D to the rear sight.

now I want Animarcy to review every weapon and vehicle in post scriptum (used the test range for easy access, also in the test range have every uniform in game so you can review it better)

By Market Garden, airborne troops were outfitted with M1943 uniforms with double buckle boots, which was the same uniform that all troops would eventually end up wearing. The only difference for paratroopers is that they continued to use the M1936 field pack and their riggers sewed cargo pockets and tie down straps on the thighs of the trousers.

Note with the M1 Garand is the character holds it in the proper fashion. GIs were trained to move with their rifles parallel and at a diagonal angle to their bodies. Just look up pictures of WW2 GIs with their weapons and you'll see what I mean.

M1 garand front sights do not appear that tiny through the rear sight
one thing i noticed in this game, everyone who uses a vehicle busts out EDM
The front sight post is way to small, the front sight more or less fills up the rear pip sight. My source is the M1 on my gun rack.

Whats even crazier about market garden is I read they knew it was gonna be a logistical nightmare but truly felt that it could work and if it did they'd be home by christmas so they went for it
One of my favorite details was that the German commanders, when presented with captured plans for the operation, immediately dismissed them as fake, because the Brits would never try something so insane.

The a1 bar always had a bipod.
The original M1918 BAR had no bipod, as it was intended as a walking fire automatic rifle similar in concept to the Chauchat. Meant to provide suppressing fire during an advance to an enemy trench. The M1918A1 began the concept of using the BAR as a light machine gun, and introduced a bipod located just in front of the handguard. The M1918A2 moved the handguard up to the muzzle and added a flash suppressor. Seeing as the bipod was quite heavy it was removed often in the field and discarded. At the very end of WWII and post-war, the carry handle was added to the BAR.

You know why the game looks so good ,you were playing in the Netherlands.
First of all, he touched on the Garand sights a bit but what he didn’t mentioned is the reason they were thick. So if you look at a real Garand’s back sight it’s super duper tiny. But, when you look down the sight it looks much wider. This is because John C. Garand found a trick where when light shined through the back sight it would play a trick on your eyes and make it look much bigger than it really was. That’s a oversimplification but that’s why he said the sights are suppose to be much thicker than most games model them to be. Sadly, games can’t render actual lightning yet so thicker sights like this is the closest we will get without making the sights unuse able.
Second of all, I was looking to buy Post Scriptum but people say it’s completely dead. Is it popular enough to at least fill a couple servers?
One server is full almost constantly. 506th PIR. And occasionally a second server. But yeah its a smaller community.

I always liked Hell Let Loose’s armor more than something like Squad but it sounds like Post Scriptum is like the ascended version of both games’ armor gameplay. So this game may get a new customer
If you're in the US there's 1-2 servers. If you're in EU there's like 3+ during prime time but usually 2
