- Georgia Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene has filed a motion to vacate the speaker’s chair, threatening to oust Speaker Mike Johnson just months after he ascended to the speakership.
"It's time for us to go through the process, take our time and find a new speaker of the House that will stand with Republicans and our Republican majority instead of standing with the Democrats," she said.

She doesn't understand how democracy and government work properly. Each party has to make concessions/compromises in order to come to an agreement in order to pass legislation, especially when one party doesn't control both chambers of Congress and the White House. In the current situation, the mindset of people like her, little to nothing can get done because they'd rather stop government than make the necessary compromises.
