when I watch videos and there's a long introduction I usually help people by presenting the time where actually Begins the demonstration I'm still waiting on this one😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣
Useful! Having enough heat for working with a Wok is hard. However, don't forget to use your firepit too, burning logs rather than charcoal. Chinese food cooked over wood adds another wonderful dimension to the taste. I have a huge commercial wok (which are very cheap) and through the summer i use it outside every week. For those of you new to cooking at these kinds of temperatures, remember to keep your wok moving unless you have stock in there and are steaming. And as soon as you have finished and it is still hot, sloosh it out with a couple of ladles of water while it is still hot, wipe it once with a little oil, and heat it briefly. It takes seconds and it will keep the seasoning pristine.
Hi,i also have the roaring dragon x76 wok burner but installed in a larger table. Its the perfect tool for authentic asian cooking.I love it.You will have a lots of fun with it. @grassburner..sure..I use a cast iron plate(plancha) for that..Heat up for 4 minutes and you can grill the best steaks.-Great Video..Greetings from Germany
The special flavor one gets from cooking in a wok with plenty of BTU is called "Wok Hei", a Cantonese Concept meaning the smoky taste one achieves with a wok + enough fire.
@@randomrazr Probably no, unless you have very enormous + highly expensive (> US$ 5000) range. If you have access to a backyard, there are propane burners( ~ $150) that can give you the Wok Hei. Reply if you want more info on the outdoor burner.
Hey, I see another use for this. Sometimes I like a steak seared 4-5 minutes a side on a mega hot cast iron pan. The problem is it fills your house with smoke. I think that Roaring Dragon would be awesome for that! ---- Great Video!
I recommend against using the wok burner on highest setting. You will overheat the pan if too much heat is used and temperature shock can crack or shatter the cast, think of cast iron like really super strong metal glass that can still crack if you go from a superheated pan to adding water, it is likely to be able to crack.
Very cool. I live in the US and want to know if a typical American propane tank can be hooked to the burner. We use inches here while the German system is metric. Not sure if it will work in the US. Thx
+laydownflat nice huh... they ship to the us, they will include all you need for using it in the US. If you more questions about it, you can contact them via their website. I put a link in the video description
Man ... I'm really curious. What would be the cost of just the valves and burners. I can fabricate everything else for almost free. My day job throws away all kinds of stainless steel. 1000 is a bit much.
If hell is ever freezing, this is the tool to get it burning again. Looking forward to see you using it. Maybe give some tips for woking in these Videos.
YEAH... that is a true BURNING DOWN THE HOUSE tool... it doesn't make prisoners. I have a 6 kW single gas burner in my kitchen for the daily use and that is a kick in the ass... that thing has 4 times the capacity which is a true killer.
You also need to know how to cut the vegetables to cook all at the same time or in an order that gets them all cooked and all finished at the same time. You cut things on an angle in little wedges so the heat can transfer into the food and fry the edges. If you chunk all your carrots into little pucks they will never cook. Cook the meat on med high, then add Carrots and broccoli with garlic and ginger go in first then onions and the softer vegies with mushrooms last if any, you need to throttle up the heat and keep it all moving. You really need to watch a real wok cook to understand the dance. My crab cooker is a little under powered but it does OK.
Instead of going on and on, then crying about the price, take a look at what on your deck, those big Joe's aren't cheap. I came her to watch a wok in use not listen to a guy cry about it.
Seasoning these steel wok are easy. The trick is to apply SMALL!!! amount of oil and burn that. Repeat the process 2-3 times and your done. On a burner like this, that's easy.
@@PITMASTERX To be fair you can get this burner for like 200-300 euros. European CE certification is a modification that costs most of that money and the table is also expensive.
What the hell is going on with your camera, it's hard to concentrate on what you are saying when you are constantly going in and out of focus every other second!!
Dude you spent the whole video talking about how it works instead of actually using the product and showing us how the product works
Cause anything he would have cooked would have burnt. He is a griller not a wok chef. 😂

Getting the burner is one thing. Cooking good with it, another.

Wok 'n Roel... been wanting an outdoor wok burner for years now. Never got one. Will have to do some research again... Happy Easter!
+Biggs' Home Cookin' Oh man.. this would be perfect in an outdoor kitchen next to the ceramic grill..😎💪
In south east asia, you can get a single burner for around usd$100

Thank you very much for your explanations. Wokking seems to be a good idea!
+BBQ Klaus Thanks Klaus.. yes its a great cooking technique
If hell is ever freezing, this is the tool to get it burning again. Looking forward to see you using it. Maybe give some tips for woking in these Videos.
+Sascha Piel I think they designed it for that purpose, but hell didn't freeze over. So they found a new use for it 😂🤘

+Cremantus it really is... you turn your head.. you burn your food...
The opposite of low and slow... when your not looking.. your not cooking.
And keep your food on the move... otherwise it will turn to ashes in milliseconds.
Welcome in the club!
have fun
cheers Pit
+Grill & Chill / BBQ & Lifestyle Hahaha yes.. I have been secretly cooking on it for weeks now 😄😄💪
Can this wok burner be used in the UK for garden use
Will it need any different gas pressure regulator for use in the UK
Fantastic video. Happy easter from Scotland
+Josh Green Thanks Josh... Happy easter..
That's the commercial burner we use in Asian kitchens. Really roars. If you look away too long, you'll burn your food. lol
nice Happy Easter from Texas
+lacey p Thanks Lacy... happy Easter👍
Is dangerous using inside??

Cheers Jay!!
The difference is about 6kw of power. It's close though
Exactly what I was looking for Pitmaster X. Your videos are always worth watching. Thanks!

How many hours will a tank of fuel last?
Keep on wokking roel 👍
+Jan-age de Boer Will do Jan... 💪😎💪
Where did you get that grate? The part the wok sits on. What is it called?
Where can we get the gas burner setup and thnx
insane! and yet, practical.:)
+Jason Bean Yes.. hahaha.. 🤣💪 just the way I like it.
For that kind of money I'll build a wood fired oven with a wok hole and have an electric blower and a faucet installed on it for easy cleaning.
And then you can't regulate the heat and have get a fire going every time you want to cook
that's pimp Roel. What kind of wok did you have?
+White Thunder BBQ 😄 it's a thin steel wok
Where did you get that wok holder grate?
One important rule to follow:
Show, don't tell!
Too much talking, not enough showing.
Why aren’t you showing more of the wok? Smh

Where can we buy a burner like that?
he sits on the propane tank?
Do you have any distribution in the US? I've been looking for a product exactly like this, and can't find anything in the US market currently.
+zarthsan I do think they do... maybe check their site. Its in the video description
Thank you doctor banner
Guess you haven't figured out how to install the wok ring so it's just lying around 😆
You can get basically the same thing without the cart for about $75US. Total ripoff.
Where? 100,000 BTU's?
@@chrisrioux Check Amazon.

the secret is "wok-hei" the firing of the natural oils as you toss the food,

How much does this setup cost?
Depends, this one is around €750-€1000
how do you get that mirror glaze on a wok???
Seasoning these steel wok are easy. The trick is to apply SMALL!!! amount of oil and burn that. Repeat the process 2-3 times and your done. On a burner like this, that's easy.
Great video Roel- €1000? I would need to be woking 3 meals a day for the rest of my life at that price. 😃
+rugger104 Thanks! Hahaha yes.. its worth the price...but its a lot of money
Too much talking, let the product show what is capable of.

I just diy it. Super easy to make one. 100,000 btu

+AcademicEndeavor I can imagine that
1000 euros? you can buy a commercial wok burner for less then that.
You will have to look for the amount f BTU's they produce
A thousand euros for a modified weed burner? Hardware store and $50 gets you 90% of this.
This is a bit more than that!
@@PITMASTERX To be fair you can get this burner for like 200-300 euros. European CE certification is a modification that costs most of that money and the table is also expensive.
