Thank you so much for the love and for making me feel better about being 'spoiled.' 😅 Sparkle on, my friend! ✨
In the UK we can get Diamond Dotz from a store called Hobby Craft, just normal canvases, not the fancy masterclass version. Think the masterclass option is very expensive. By the way, I’d be ok if it was a diamond painting & nails channel!!! Nail polish is my other obsession 😂 thanks for sharing ❤
@Caz6937 their normal canvases are great and not that expensive, they are definitely worth it! Haha Robin will have to include some nail stuff in a vlog when we get our memberships up and going!
Hopefully it's not as expensive for the basic DDotz kits for you in the UK, Caz. Aus is expensive and enough to break the bank most of the time. I wait for REALLY good sales before I buy any DDotz here. ❤ Bel

Just watched your Cuddle time unboxing, loved it so I’ll be hoping over to your channel as well ❤️

Thank you! 💖 Honestly, the painting is beautiful, but whether it was worth it... ehhh, probably not. 😂 It was $80 on sale, and while it came in a nice box, everything inside felt a bit cheap. Definitely not what we expected for that price! BUT... the video was absolutely hilarious to watch back 🤣 Brittany and I had such a blast - especially with the whole missing tweezers situation! It’s one of those moments that makes diamond painting so fun. 💎

"Herald of Spring' by Laurie Prindle is absolutely STUNNING. But the price! 💸 It’s so hard to justify spending that much when you know you can get everything in that kit for less. I bought a Diamond Dotz Masterclass and did it last year. I did “The Kiss” by Gustav Klimt. My thoughts….same as you, I thought the tools included in the kit were so basic that it was disappointing and laughable. I expected SO much more given the price point. I also got mine on Black Friday sale so I was glad I got the huge discount. The box was beautiful and the gems already kitted up was ok, but not worth the extra money. I hated that the jars only had numbers and no symbols. That was a pain to constantly be checking the legend. The mini dots give a really beautiful detailed finish, but they are hard to work with and the static in the minis was off the chart. Because they were so small, the static made them scatter more easily which was frustrating. I also didn’t like that they shifted in the glue easier and you could see the outline of the circles no matter what I did. I did learn to multi place with them using a DAC thin plastic 4 placer that come with the DAC kits. In the end, the diamond painting turned out gorgeous! It has SO many special drills of all kinds of shapes…crystal mirror rectangles, large round sapphires, ruby colored crystal marquis shaped, round vivid gold drills, etc. These special drills made it worth the effort and are dazzling in the end. Was the Masterclass worth what they are charging? No way. Was it worth the sale price, not really. Is it beautiful and am I glad I had the experience, I would say yes, but I would never do another one. If you want to see the one I did, Inposted on my Instagram deedeediamondart and scroll back to January of last year. Thanks for your review, ladies. As always, great job. I really enjoy your videos!
@deekay6526 thank you so much for sharing your experience! I actually hadn't thought about the issues that you might have when placing the micro dots like trying to get them to line up in a diamond painting tray or multiplacing them. I think I said in the video I wish they would still do some sort of sticker sheet for the reason of putting the symbols on the bottle and making it easier to work with. Diamond Dotz does have decent diamond paintings in general but the way the Masterclass kit is put together, it just really isn't worth the money they want. I think it would be more popular with a few changes/upgrades. I am definitely going to check out your Instagram, I'm interested in seeing the finished piece!
Brittany was spot on with that one - you're totally paying for the box! 😕 The packaging is fancy, but I’d much rather pay for a high-quality kit than just a pretty box. 🤷♀ Lesson learned! At least we had a good laugh recording the video, though. 😂 Thanks so much for watching us! 💖
@margiegreiss5468 yeah the canvas is pretty and I kind of like the neat idea of the micro dots on the hummingbird so the canvas would 100% be worth it alone. Most diamond painters wouldn't use most of their extras in this box
Totally understandable! 😊 I do enjoy Diamond Dotz canvases too - they lay so nicely and have great sparkle - but this kit definitely wasn’t worth the price for what we got. 🤷♀ It was fun to unbox and even more fun to laugh at ourselves trying to find those tweezers. 😂 Sometimes the experience is worth more than the kit itself! Cool idea ithink poorly executed and overpriced. Should have nice premium packaging but not this excessive, no toolkit (anybody willing to spend the money on a masters set already has most tools, with one exception). Whole canvas should focus on the new mini drills, make smaller canvases that will have definition we have never been able to get before. And include a premium metal tip for people to use pen of their choice with mini drills. Apparently the cheapest pen with the aquishy has a special smaller tip.
Exactly! I love the idea but the execution just fell flat for me too. Poorly executed and definitely overpriced for what you actually get. 💸 If you’re spending that kind of money, it should feel more premium - but not excessive. Like, give us nice, functional packaging that’s reusable and practical, not just a fancy box. They should have focused on showcasing those new mini drills. Imagine smaller canvases with insane detail that we’ve never been able to get before - that would be a game-changer. 🎨 And yes to including a premium metal tip for mini drills! Why not make that a premium add-on for people to use with the pen of their choice? Such a missed opportunity to create something really special!
@chikinbonechew I definitely think that there were some things that Diamond Dotz could do to make it a little more worth the value - the pens, wax, and trays could all be improved upon some. Do nice pens or maybe just 1 very nice pen? Also maybe some metal tips, a nicer tray with a lid, and then maybe like a pack of putty with 1 thing of wax? They definitely could do more to make it worth the money paid I actually asked Robin last night after we posted the video that I wondered if one of the nicer pens was for the micro dots, but I didn't realize it was the cheaper one!
