802 performing '1986' live on Danish national TV show 'Go' Morgen Danmark'
After releasing hip hop beats with among others Raekwon from the Wu Tang Clan and touring in and outside Denmark under the name Slowolf, Andreas Asingh moves from Copenhagen to his childhood Djursland, Denmark.
In late 2022 Andreas meets Emil Sørensen and Kristian Holbæk. Two long-haired dudes from the heavy metal underground scene in Djursland. A strong connection is created immediately and together they start 802.
In no time 802 have created their own unique and hazy sound of ghosty synths, bubblegum hooks and progy drum beats all wrapped up in thick heavy metal distortion.
802 played their debut show at The New Colossus Festival in NYC in March 2023 and released their debut single ‘My Girl’ in March 2023 on their own label 802 INC. The single was premiered on BrooklynVegan.
The single came with the short film ‘A Heavy Metal Bedtime Story’ directed by Casper Balslev who lately has directed music videos for alt-J and MØ. The film was premiered on Earmilk and was nominated with a UK Music Video Award in the category ‘Best Special Visual Project’ along with Kendrick Lamar, Gorillaz and others.
802 released their 2nd single ‘22 (Velvet Vampire)’ in November 2023. The single came with the short film ‘The Curse Of The Velvet Vampire’ directed by Christoffer Schuricht. The film won ‘Best International Short’ at ‘A Night Of Horror International Film Festival’ in USA.
802 released their 3rd single ‘1986’ in May 2024, played Copenhell in June 2024 and about to play Copenhell Roskilde Festival.
