Whether she realizes it or not, and likely she never will, she outright admitted to trying to basically groom this young child into owing her his life, and becoming her biggest ally and benefactor during the peak of his success as an adult. The fact that she's so blind to how wrong that is that she verbatim admitted this in Bye Sister is shocking to me. She was mad that in spite of her grooming attempts, James wasn't centering all of his personal business decisions around her best interest, which is what she wanted out of him. Even the way that she immediately iced him out and refused to speak to him or to let herself be reached as soon as he slightly overstepped was so abusive, and then she used the power that she gave herself over this child to completely decimate his career as soon as he slighted her. It's horrific, and as much as I despise James Charles now, I view Tati as a groomer and nothing else.

In that business, there is always a quid pro quo and look… She proved it - The second he strayed from the path, she was no longer his ‘mom’. To then publicly share this all online instead of ending the relationship behind closed doors, adds an extra layer of sinister. I thought it then and I still think it now. Dark shit.

Suppose any of this affected him and worsened him to be a predator of younger straight boys. It's funny because during this time if any of us tried to point out that Tati wasn't acting age appropriately or that the relationship dynamic between her and James was weird, everyone would jump on us and accuse us of being ageist.
