After wrestling, his father returned to the ring as a kickboxer, where he won European and world gold medals. I see a lot of people on here have written that he is not good at stand up fighting, his hands are absolutely life threatening unstoppable, this is a category that can break cover and his kickboxing moves clearly come out.

He’s baiting the low kick, catching it and making his opponents pay with a very powerful overhand right. He throws deceptive strikes that are catching his opponents off guard. Looks like a street brawler to me. And I mean that in a good way.
The way he pulled the arm with his left and then hammered him with the right was definitely street. As well as the low hands waving around before striking. The foot shuffle. I like it.

He appears to have plenty of raw talent that has potential to become a real force to be reckoned with but he’s not at all at the level of the top 10 or even top 20 in global rankings. He looks impressive against fighters who are local/regional but the massive gap in speed , power and agility between the UFC and smaller regional promotions is astronomical, he has a long ways to go if he’s hoping to compete at the highest elite levels. Fights with the explosive, big cat pouncing instinct of a leopard/tiger. Norbert's style is mesmerizing to watch as you can sense his ability to recognize the exact spot to pounce and then know how to "go for the neck" or land the perfect claw-like swipe that sets up the dynamic win. Looking forward to watching his ascent in the UFC, and his "eye of the tiger" gifted talent could make him the "cat's meow" of fan favorites to follow.
On another level/"plane", Norbert's intense ability to pounce with that big cat dynamic speed could also showcase an example of the John Boyd fighter pilot OODA LOOP in an octagon microcosm. He strikes so quickly that the opponent you can tell is left dazed and bewildered by the cat twitch fight processing speed. Just as a fighter pilot in the OODA Loop gains the edge with an explosive shock and awe series of Top Gun air strikes/tactics that leave the other pilot always on the "back foot" and shut down as the Observe, Orientate, Decide, and Action from the superior fighters OODA LOOP override the slower fighters processing speed.
Fascinating, imo, all the insights one can pick up from a seeming "simple fast UFC" moment in time where fight intelligence, mental processing power, and pure instinct remind us of our primitive fighting origins. Lessons showcased in the Vegas octagon on a Saturday night can also relate to all realms of combat on even the highest "planes/levels." These levels include even the most sophisticated form of elite fighter pilot OODA LOOP fighting going at mach speeds high up above the clouds on the vaster UFC/Top Gun octagon fighting zone in the sky.

UFC middle weight division has some absolute monsters. Novenyi looks undersized. He might be a UFC welter weight, but then he'd be contending with some absolute monsters there. He has a good, sideways karate stance and his lead hand used to hook his opponent's lead hand to set up his massive right is good, but he has to be lightning quick to utilize that against top 10s in either middle or welter in the UFC. The guys in the UFC are levels above Novenyi's opponents seen here. Those guys level change, can handle themselves on the ground even against the descendant of a great wrestler, and have the physicality to scramble out of bottom positions and sweep. I don't know, I think he's fun to watch in these highlights, but his opponents are unrefined brawlers at best and not carefully drafted UFC contenders.

I wouldn't say he is crisp, but looks to be a tough kid. Lets see how he does when he fights someone that can give him a little challenge.

He should take his time and round out his game first before entering UFC. It's a different animal and they will counter his standing game easily at this stage.
