I can relate, I too joined in the traditional Thanksgiving dishes but it was a bad choice on my part. It led me to a 5 day binge eating episode. It messed up my mental health and gained 9 lbs in 5 days but I have since been back on track since last Friday n dropped 5 lbs n feeling like myself again
I'm really happy to hear you're feeling like yourself again after resetting! It definitely feels like a whole new world getting back to feeling great inside and out. Wishing you good health!
Thanks for sharing. Not a holiday for me but a three week plateau, hyperthyroid, almost no sleep this week and today I was craving grapefruit, a food I rarely eat. A few non-carnivore foods later I have stomach pain and can anticipate a weight gain tomorrow. Just awful. Let’s forgive ourselves and move on making better choices. Take care
I don't see this as a problem, it's just being with family and it happens. Once you are back home and back in your own routine you will get back to yourself again. A minor glitch.
I totally get the whole sharing a kitchen thing. I lived with people the past ten months and really tried to stay carnivore the whole time, but half the time it was just easier to eat something "simple and easy" rather than try to find a good time to get into the kitchen to make my dinner. I've been in my own space now for a month and I've had no issues staying on track. Also, isn't it crazy how we know how things will make us feel and we do it anyway? I had a piece of pecan pie at thanksgiving and I felt so awful after. I pretty much started feeling it immediately. I got a headache and my hands started swelling. It was a good reminder and Christmas I won't be going through any of that!
It’s pretty cool that we can relate to the shared kitchen experience. I’m happy to hear you’ve found your routine in your own space now 🥰. As for the next holiday, I have a really good feeling we’ll both be extra prepared to do what’s best for ourselves. Sending you my best wishes! 🤗
We have to experience these times where our nutrition is set aside to accommodate family. Been there done that. Now I’m done with that. I make my own food regardless of the situation or I don’t eat. When the family sees me sitting in the living room during dinner, they work harder to accommodate me. I choose not to put poison in my mouth
Our bodies are very different, yet adaptive. I totally went off the rails at Thanksgiving. Four days later, things were back to normal. I thank God for my versatile digestive system.
That’s wonderful to hear you’re feeling back to normal after taking a few days to reset. ☺️ The human body is pretty amazing and I’m happy we can share similarities in our Carnivore journey!
Thank you for your honesty I thought starting a carnivore on December 4th was good idea🤣 I will turn this into a positive and remind myself when i want to grab for something i shouldn't be eat over Christmas that I will feel physically sick. I'm going to a steak house for my birthday dinner on December 24th.
Happy Early Birthday! Excited to hear you’re starting your Carnivore journey. I admit, this is prime season for all sorts of non-meat temptation but we got this! ✊🏽 Assess your progress and keep your “why” in the forefront and hopefully this will help. Stay tune next week as I will share some fun, easy recipes that will help us stay on track for any holiday or celebration!
@@kativore Thank you for your encouragement. Every time I ask myself why am I doing this diet I remind myself because I don’t want horrible stomach pain and sugar cravings.
Hi karivore! Wondering if your asian? I'm american asian and a couple of months on the carnivore diet. My asian family are appalled, despite weight loss and blood pressure improvement. They site asian cultures who live on high carb diets but have the longest lifespans. They tell me I can't site a single healthy culture on a primarily meat diet. You mention the perils of processed food and how they make you feel. I'm shocked youd fall off to the point of twinkies and mcdonalds. What are your thoughts on healthy carbs... fruits and veggies? Rice, which is an asian stable? Those sweet potatoes when not canned and just steamed? Would you have felt so bad if your cheat were a salad with the Thanksgiving turkey and not a huge slice of apple pie?

Addiction is a life long issue, don't worry about it life is short.

I feel like you should become a high level "influencer"(whatever that means) .. you get it and have a accurate story. God bless you.
Long visit with his family! Has he popped the question? Have you found the Ring?
