One time, my brother opened a can of ravioli, and it only had one piece of ravioli and nothing but sauce! He was already having a bad day that day. It just added insult to injury.

Obligatory warning because we lost a cat to a can: cans have sharp edges, a cut to a tongue can be an infection your four pawed buddy may not survive (Not to mention how painful it can be.) This is why if you feed wet, you should rinse the can before binning it. RIP Cat that died two years before I was born, sorry you had to be a dumpster diver, now I wash cans like it's the great depression.

As a guy who manages a Publix Deli with a big imported cheese case, the shredded parm can be expensive when you get the good stuff but it’s only good for certain applications (just like shaved parm). It’s a dry cheese and doesn’t melt well in general, especially in thicker shreds like that. If you’re not going to grate your own block always go with grated. You can get cups of grated cheese that don’t have the fillers and anti-caking agents like the green bottle stuff and have way more flavor!
a "I ate instant noodles every day for a week" type of video could be nice! Lots of variety, can add your own twist to it like add an egg, cheese, sauces etc.. Loved the vid keep it up!
Mr Peebs, consider microwaving your food on the edge of the rotating plate instead of in the centre of the microwave. This will often stop it from being cold in the middle. Try it out!

I love Peebs but he's got a long way to go before he's Brutalmoose. Ian has turned the act of editing his food videos into a bloody art. Peebs might be funny but not only does he not edit his own videos anymore, they aren't nearly as insanely overproduced. Sure, it lets him get more videos out but you're not in for even a quarter of the insanity when one pops.
"Al dente" pasta just means "undercooked" as far as I'm concerned. I will never understand how half-cooked pasta is considered the preferred texture throughout the world.

I went to around a dozen restaurants during the trip and of them around 90% so severely undercooked their pasta that the middle bordered on solid, and was at best very tough to bite through. Thus my confusion as to how this is perceived as the correct texture and "undercooked".

I really enjoy these videos and it was awesome that one was uploaded on my birthday ( April Fool's lol). The overstuffed ravioli has such low reviews because they changed the sauce. I'm a 90's kid and the overstuffed beef ravioli was my favorite. The sauce was thick, rich, and meaty. I even ate it occasionally as a teen and adult. When the pandemic hit, parents were ravaging the shelves to feed their kids at home. When Chef Boyardee returned to shelves, the sauce recipe for the overstuffed ravioli changed completely. The company struggled to get their products back in stores and cut corners drastically. Enough people have complained for them to try and change it back but they haven't. Sucks, seriously!
My husband is the same way and it KILLS me, creates a ton of unnecessary food waste. It doesn’t even matter if it says “best by” instead of “expiry date” he will NOT eat it. It’s BEST by that date, not suddenly poisonous the day it makes it to that date! 😂

personally i enjoy the CANNED Chef Boyardee Ravoli, a little sprinkle of some Parm and then devour. yes there is definitely better, but when money is tight, it can hit better than some options at the same price.
Pro tip for if you're really struggling: Chef Boyardee is like 400 calories for $1.25. A bag of dried lentils or split peas is like 1300 calories for $2. Throw in a $5 jar of curry sauce and a 1 pound bag of rice for $1 and you're getting way more bang for your buck with more calories, flavor, nutrients, and protein for about the cost of 6 cans of Chef Boyardee. Convenience food gets you by seeming cheap but actually being expensive for a single serving. If you plan ahead and make meals then you'll really be saving money.

I’m not in any rush to try that again, but I DID check my local grocery stores and they all have the cheese ravioli in stock!

I'm almost 40 and I still love eating Chef Boyardee for an easy lunch when I'm working at home. And beefaroni with a side of toast is still my favorite over ravioli. I also remember that I enjoyed the stuffed ravioli over the regular one - haven't had that in years tho.
The trick to dealing with the thin sauce in these is to put parmesan cheese in it. Like - a lot of parmesan. It ends up thickening the sauce up (and helps with the mushy texture of the pasta).
I still eat Chef Boyardee canned pasta on occasion, and I have to say that I prefer eating them with a spoon regardless of what it is. It just makes it more enjoyable, I guess. Keep up the great work, PBG! P.S. I actually think the cheese ravioli is worse than the beef one, but to each their own. P.P.S. Also, regarding the Overstuffed Ravioli, I vaguely remember a time when Chef Boyardee put out a can of it _that had Italian sausage in it instead of beef!_ I actually thought it was _really_ delicious, especially with grated Mozzarella on top...🤤

I'm almost 40 and I still love eating Chef Boyardee for an easy lunch when I'm working at home. And beefaroni with a side of toast is still my favorite over ravioli. I also remember that I enjoyed the stuffed ravioli over the regular one - haven't had that in years tho.
The trick to dealing with the thin sauce in these is to put parmesan cheese in it. Like - a lot of parmesan. It ends up thickening the sauce up (and helps with the mushy texture of the pasta).
I still eat Chef Boyardee canned pasta on occasion, and I have to say that I prefer eating them with a spoon regardless of what it is. It just makes it more enjoyable, I guess. Keep up the great work, PBG!
P.S. I actually think the cheese ravioli is worse than the beef one, but to each their own.
P.P.S. Also, regarding the Overstuffed Ravioli, I vaguely remember a time when Chef Boyardee put out a can of it _that had Italian sausage in it instead of beef!_ I actually thought it was _really_ delicious, especially with grated Mozzarella on top...🤤
