Paul Andersen explains how cells are selectively permeable with the help of their cell membrane. The main constituents of the cell membrane, including cholesterol, glycolipids, glycoproteins, phospholipids, and proteins are included. The fluid mosaic model is also illustrated. The cell wall in plants, bacteria, and fungi is also discussed.

I'm the unfortunate sort of person who gets sleepy within 5 minutes of cracking a book so you can never guess how grateful I am to you sir!
Not unfortunate, you are the common person.

Man I really was wondering why I was having so much trouble eating all those trees. Thanks a ton for the help. Your videos are super helpful!
As a freshman, this is more reliable than the textbooks.
as a junior now, i 100% agree, and it's super helpful in AP Bio
dude im in 7th grade and this was assigned to watch -_-
@@pacogaming4032 when ur replying to ancient comments.
@@spicyviking7270 not that ancient
8 years is very ancient
I am so grateful for this channel. It really saved my grade in AP Bio.
What special educator you are! I'm not in the US but you're my real teacher. Everything I do in class is to find out what that lesson is about and then when I get home, I can see if Paul Andersen has done a lesson about it. If so, then it's perfect.
lazy teacherism brought me here
i never thought the channel was that popular
anyway nice video
You and Hank Green are the true gods of Utube
Thank u
I'm so grateful for these videos. I have trouble understanding science (understanding processes, not memorizing vocabulary) so these really help, especially the animations, breaking down the meaning of the terms, and pictures.
cant say how much you have impacted young aspiring students around the world or at least in the U.S thank you for everything!
you are amazing . thank god you are alive and you are on yourube
You are an awesome instructor! The way you explain things really helps the information stick. Thank you so much!
So good that there are people like this guy who help you some hours before your class test. Thanks alot.
"Thats why its so hard to eat a tree"
YEAH AND I WAS GUNNA EAT ONE THKS FOR TELLING ME

Thank you Mr. Andersen! It's my pressure for us to watch this.
jawline
Thanks Mr. Andersen! This helps me so much before biology tests!
It helped me to revise my memory, with all these pictures and animations.Thankyou
I couldn’t imagine going through AP Bio without Bozeman
dude you are a freakin beast of a biology teacher. Keep up the good work because it is sure very useful and helpful information so much good detail packed in this video.
Test is on Monday, super scared but also extremely thankful for you and these videos!
I have a test on cell membranes on Tuesday and this is such a great way to revise, rather than just copying down notes. Thanks!
did it cover everything you needed on the test?
Pretty much, yes!
Mannn you are so good at it! Thanks for sharing, you're gifted!
This video helped me a lot. I learned so much about the different organelles in a cell.
I am in college and this helped me a BUNCH- Now I'm off to find more or your videos covering everything else I need to know! Thanks a lot!
He makes it so easy to understand!
Thank you, SO MUCH! You've made the biology interesting and easy to pass, at least for me. Thanks again!
These podcasts are so good that my teacher doesnt teach us she just tells us to watch these at home and do worksheets in class
I got 2 words to describe this lesson: absolutely magnificant
Your so amazing and such a good teacher we need more like you in real life !!!
@100PercentGreen I use Screenflow to do the recording. It records the computer screen and the webcam simultaneously.
Thanks a lot for teaching!! You are one of my favourites. Your videos help me a lot! I will always love you.
Thank God i had to learn the cell so that i found you *-*
Keep it up! You are awesome!
7:32 And so when you breathe in *BREATHES*. OXYGENNNNN
Yet again, I'm sure you get this a lot, and I swear i won't comment on all of your videos I watch, but you are just such a great teacher with this topic. Concepts I understand from class are explained thoroughly in your videos giving me a mastery of the concepts. I feel as though you condense the subject and expand upon the important points that are taught somewhat well in my 2 hour class in a few 10-minute videos.
I spilled water over my biology book and have a test tomorrow.. You're my saviour! Thank you, your videos are great
You're so helpful and amazing, thank you!
God bless your soul for this video.
Amazing thank you mr. Anderson
Thanks for all the help! Really do appreciate your videos :D
How does this video only have 1606 likes? I expected a number like two million.
I got 2 F's on my AP bio tests because my teacher wasnt helpful and the study guides were bad bad bad. But then she introduced us to you(best thing she ever done). Now I am getting B's and A's :DD
This is all so amazing: Both that these structure/processes exist AND the fact the scientists figured out that they do exist and how they work. Give me science over dogma any day of the week; it lets us see the ultimate and primal beauty in nature.
Extremely helpful thank you it has really helped my understanding
Thank You! That was awesome!
I have a Biology exam on Wednesday on cell membranes and passive/active transport. This video was VERY helpful! Thank you :)
Thank you!!! I was so confused when I read the text book version of this now I have a better understanding
thank you so much for these helpful videos. They help me a lot

Thank you this is so helpful
here i am mid pandemic studying for a final with these videos! Thanks really, oh and btw youve reached Argentina. Im translating all
thank you so so much!
@Monkey D. Luffy Water molecules can move through with the help of aquaporin which is a protein that transports water from one side of the membrane to the other and it also regulates how much water can be transported. Water is unable to move through the membrane because it is polar so it has to go through by using the aquaporin.
this guy is a legend hands down
You are really nothing but a great scientist ...thank you!
thankyou so much
Paul Anderson you are the God of Biology!
yes that was really helpful thank you
